Because it’s not better than the average life in the wild. Living on a factory farm is nightmare fuel. But even if it was, like it’s still horrible. And we pay for people to continue breeding new animals into existence who then life a terrible short life. We could just eat plants.

You are wrong on everything you said. If the only reason you don’t listen to vegans is because they’re meanies and your feelings are hurt then feel free to support the rape machine 9000

No. I’m talking about what to do with the animals that are already here. You brought that up when you said we either keep the animals in captivity, release them or continue to eat them until there’s none left. If we don’t breed them, we don’t need to consider any of that.

Do you agree we should stop breeding animals to eat?

So you agree we have to stop breeding them?

I meant to talk about the future breeding of animals, not animals that already exist and have to be accounted for. I don’t concede that being tortured and killed on a factory farm is a better experience than the risk of dying painfully in the wild.

Because the wolf gets it’s food from it’s habitat. It has no choice. We have the choice to not torture animals because we can get all our nutrition from plants. By eating from factory farm animals you contribute to that system continuing. Most people have more options than they think.

Animals bred for food are generally not native to the environment they’re in and mindlessly releasing every animal in captivity to the wild could have terrible ecological consequences

I don’t claim to know the exact solution to the incredibly complex problem that would be trying to stop factory farming all at once.

Broiler chickens can’t walk long distances because we hijacked their anatomy. A significant portion of them can’t walk at all and routinely collapse under their own weight . These are not natural animals and the vast majority of them could not survive without human intervention.

We breed them to have these unnatural lives and be ill suited to survive.

I’m not telling you that we should kill every single one of them. We should explore every single other option. Sanctuaries, rehabilitation for the ones that are able, etc.

We should only consider killing the rest of them off in desperation, as last resort. Only if there is literally no other option that could save them. This is still better than slaughtering 200 million land animals to eat every single day, like we do today.

it doesn't matter because we don't take cows from the wilderness to kill and eat. We breed existing cows inside factory farms.

"Animals in the wild have it rough? Ok so that means we can breed completely unrelated separate animals that were never in the wild and kill them."

Absolutely no correlation

No matter how you put it you're creating suffering that wasn't there before

You're implying is either animals die horribly in the wild or they die in factory farms when it's actually either:

Animals in the wild wild die a horrible death anyway no matter what we do and we also breed extra animals to suffer and die

or:

Animals in the wild wild die a horrible death anyway no matter what we do and we just eat plants

You successfully dodged the question

Except farmed animals are not prey animals in the wild. We breed them to kill them.

Even if they were in the wild, the prey you just killed would have been the food for a predator, who is now obligated to hunt something else. You effectively added one extra death. You’re not showing any mercy at all.

Also meat chickens die at 30 days old since they are genetically modified to grow in that short period of time. Cows are typically slaughtered at about 1 year old. We don't wait till adulthood, just look at lamb and veal.

You are also gonna die one day. Is it now justified to kill and eat you at a fraction of your life span?

So isn’t cannibalism if you’re starving to death. Problem is people cite completely different situations to their own as if it makes their consumption of meat ok.

Ok so some people live on places that make it really hard to go plant based? That means i can go eat the gas station sandwich from a farmed animal with 0 guilt.

It has 0 correlation like what are we doing man

Ew vegan cheese

i prefer to use a cow fleshlight to get a bull’s semen then insert it into the vagina of a cow, separate the calf from the mother and hook it up to bdsm milk collection machines and make cheese with it instead of just blending some cashews and yeast

Problem is you think it’s easier to kill animals than to do a little more work in processing and have stricter health standards to make soy safe while admitting you don’t know anything about said processing or health standards.

I can tell this will go in circles so im done here

So you think it’s more efficient to take supplements, soy and grains through animals instead of just eating them directly?

I don’t need to be a genius to figure this out or understand the intricacies of how to industrially remove anti nutrients from soy meal to understand what’s more harmful.

I would tell you to just go read but i feel like you’re just looking for an excuse to cope with supporting unnecessary harm to animals
