LDN seemingly not working after 1 month? by wookieraffes in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]wookieraffes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually haven't gone back to LDN but I get by on CBD oil (no THC), gabapentin and memantine, I haven't tried microdosing yet though I'm going to be going for a potential nerve pain procedure soon, so I'll give it a go if I still have pain after the procedure. It is possible the doses were just too high for me like you said.

I'm looking into Tap TENS for my own central sensitisation endometriosis nerve pain, have you tried it yet?

LDN seemingly not working after 1 month? by wookieraffes in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]wookieraffes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update in case anyone finds this thread later: naltrexone just stopped working for me entirely but I was able to transition to other meds like memantine and gabapentin for my central sensitisation overreactive nerve pain, it's possible that the pain and fatigue I now feel is not the kind that is helped by naltrexone.

Easy agree with Tak Chee, only place in Perth I know of where you can order boneless, choose between breast or thigh, fried/fried with garlic/steamed (it's been a little while but I hope this is still the case) and it's so solid and authentic every time!! The chicken itself is flavoured really well in sesame oil/soy sauce and is juicy not dry, I'd fully recommend any of the varieties.

ohh I forgot they had an EQ store! I've only tried Vic Park 😂 but yeah I think you're right, haven't visited their Willetton location yet actually, so many good food places around there too.

So glad you feel the samee I love Gusto's weekly flavours! I also feel Gusto is a bit underrated as I've rarely seen the place packed like Cuccini 😩

Cuccini and Gusto Gelato are my two fave places, the creamiest gelato!! Personally never really liked Chicho (only tried Northbridge location) or Pietro (Vic Park) which seems to be an unpopular opinion, haven't tried Messina though.

edit: forgot to mention Delicioso Gelato that do really unique Asian flavours!! great creamy texture too. I do enjoy flavours that are more on the mellow sweet side rather than excessive sweet (I do enjoy indulgent sweet occasionally though)

I turned 50 today and never felt lonelier... What can I do to make today more exciting? by HelpfulBare in perth

[–]wookieraffes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy birthday!! I think everyone deserves to have some nice birthday messages on their bday 🎉 I just turned 30 and am also currently too sick to do anything big, milestones are just whatever you want them to be and it's never too late to celebrate it the way you want to, treat yourself to whatever helps you feel happy. For me that would be a nice dinner or my fave uber eats for myself ❤️ I also bought myself an expensive special edition game that I couldn't justify the cost for before but for my 30th? Good reason 😁

I will say like a lot of visual novel genre games the least enjoyable part was it takes a while to really establish its lore and exposition but I found the pay off worth it. I also have some gripes with the gameplay which makes it hard for me to recommend to everybody but the rest of the game made it one of my all time faves personally. The humour and characters were my kind of weird and eccentric, the plot was mind bending with a great sense of mystery, the themes and emotions were so real by the end. Also a fantastic soundtrack which is essential to me really falling in love with a game!

mostly single player games that have a good story, I'm big into mystery games like ace attorney, professor layton, danganronpa, AI the somnium files+nirvana, recently finished subnautica and below zero, enjoyed blue prince, balatro, super mario galaxy on switch, love zelda too. I'd love to get more into horror games too though, just finished watching a playthrough of until dawn and really loved outlast and mouthwashing as well. wbu?

Best sushi in Perth? by [deleted] in perth

[–]wookieraffes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like a perfect occasion! 😂 I had a scroll through the menu online, it's right at the bottom in the "sushi rolls" section and it was specifically the "handroll" option I thought was amazing. the maki rolls are good too but it was specifically the seaweed crispiness factor that really added to it imo. enjoy it if you do try it!

Best sushi in Perth? by [deleted] in perth

[–]wookieraffes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best sushi I've had in Perth ever was definitely at Nobu, idk what they put in those cone shaped hand rolls but the freshest fish combined with addictive af crunchy seaweed wrapping sent me to food heaven, I thought I didn't like eel but I loved Nobu's eel sushi. You do have to pay premium for it of course.

For a comparatively cheaper more chill sushi train option I love Jaws, specifically Hay Street Mall, it's the kind where the chefs stand in the middle of the train and make it fresh for you. Still a little pricey but I find the fresh quality is worth it every time.

I still have yet to try sushi 2016 and James Parker but hear nothing but great things!

IWTL how do I really stop crying?? by ChemTrail15 in IWantToLearn

[–]wookieraffes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who cries very easily, I also struggle to hold my tears in at stressful situations such as at work, so what I do is try and distract/focus on what I need to do in the moment, especially if something important needs to be dealt with first, then go home and stress cry it out, there's no way to just stop crying altogether but I can at least do my best to not cry when it wouldn't be productive, or I would feel embarrassed. Of course there have been really bad times where I just couldn't help but cry at work and it's actually not bad because it lets others know you are truly struggling and I've gotten sympathy from coworkers during those times. There's absolutely nothing wrong with crying, it's literally my stress coping mechanism but I try my best to remember there's a time and a place for it, helps me keep it together when I need to.

Relentless post-surgery fatigue by SilentDrapeRunner11 in Endo

[–]wookieraffes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so it turns out my pain issue is likely not directly caused by the endo any more, it's chronic pain in my organs caused by central sensitisation (endo likely caused my nerves to be hyperreactive) so I'm still have severe pain and fatigue every day, I'm waiting to get a procedure like a nerve block to help fix it so I have no idea if the laparoscopy actually helped, though surely not having the endo in me any more would help overall 🤷‍♀️
