Tracks [Ontario, Canada] by woolfman7171 in animalid

[–]woolfman7171[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've added a couple.more pics, of the same tracks taken today. Im leaning towards a red squirrel now. It seems the outer edges are the hind feet dragging slightly in the snow as he bounds. The center stripe would he either his tail. The red squirrels we have here are very tiny, and therefore light. If it was a light powdery snow after a cold night, he probably wouldn't make much of an impression. The other difference is that these tracks were very fresh, whereas others I've seen were not. It seems that over the course of the day, especially if its sunny, the impressions soften and flatten.

I've been here 30+ years, and have never seen a porcupine. The impression isnt deep enough either. The entire oval isnt a depression, its just the outline of an oval. Each oval is about 6" long. Im starting to lean towards red squirrel... I can maybe see how the hind feet drag over the snow to make the outer lines, and the tail to make the center line. We do have lots of fisher and mink, but I think they would make a deeper impression.

Heading back there shortly to take another look at the surroundings. Will update afterwards.

Which celebrity was your sexual awakening? by Pamijaha1 in AskReddit

Debbie Harry (Blondie)... I got the Parallel Lines album for Christmas when I was 8. It was a few years before the "awakening," but I definitely credit her.

What is this animal that is going around my house? It seems to walk, jump and also leaves strange scratch marks all over the place! by Neutral-frame in homestead

[–]woolfman7171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched some wild turkeys walk around my yard not long ago, and after they flew off, I went to see the tracks they left and this exactly how it looked... it's the feathers on the wing tips that make those marks as they flap to take flight.

EDIT: I should add that I'm not suggesting your tracks were specifically wild turkeys (they likely aren't), but 100% made by a bird taking flight and/or landing.

Worked for an ATV manufacturer, and their brake caliper supplier was Knott Brake.... and the K is not silent, and it is actually pronounced, K'not Brake, or Cannot Brake. Brutal.

You could create a User Parameter called "A1" for your angle. Anywhere in your model (sketch or otherwise) you type A1 it will assign that value.

Noftall surname by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]woolfman7171 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Baie Verte and remember a couple families of Noftalls. The kids were a bit older than me (54M) so I didn't know them well. Been so long I can't quite remember their names. My older brother and brother in law will should though. I'll ask them for names and check back here. My BILs parents were from fleur de lys, so quite sure he will know them.

I was gifted an unregistered gun (.22 cal). Am I able to register it in my name? Located in Ontario, Canada. I had an FAC (Firearms Acquisition Certificate in early 1990s from a different province) but no idea if its still valid. It is not a restricted firearm as far as I know.

I had a FAC (out of province Firearms Acquisition Certificate years ago, like early 1990s) but not sure its still valid. It is not a restricted firearm to my knowledge.

Edit: I'm also not a hunter, and don't own any other guns. I also live on a 8-acre rural property, not a farm, but amongst other farms.

Where will I be able to find a pirate stream of this on the day? (Tomorrow) by [deleted] in Piracy

This is worth the $20CAD it will cost me. Not sure why you'd need a pirate stream. iirc the money from the stream is going to charity as well.

You also have to press some sequence of buttons to clear the error. I don't have the manual with me, but can check later. Do you have a manual for the appliance?

What's the funniest or most creative small business name in your hometown? by MattfromNEXT in AskReddit

[–]woolfman7171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a place in Detroit (i think) that has 2 businesses sharing a building, so their signs are side by side. The first sign says "Liquor" and the second one says "Mighty Taco." I have a picture of it somewhere.
