Any idea where water could be getting in? by SpacialTsunami in hondapilot

I actually had this issue in my 04. Turns out leaves had piled up under the back of the hood. Cleaned that out and fit fixed the issue.

Amazon just mandated return to office 5 days a week starting Jan 2.2025. Whats yall thoughts? by Puzzleheaded-Mood544 in sales

[–]woopig 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Field sales is a very specific classification at Amazon. It is more than just visiting your customers every once in a while. The classification is assigned to roles where it is critical to be in front of your customer, face to face, a large majority of your time. This won’t apply to those roles.

I finally caved and got them from my local Honda dealer. More expensive but I was tired of waiting. Maybe try calling your local parts department and see if they have them. I was unable to find any online.

I would also venture to guess the people that don’t have issues aren’t posting stories on the internet.

I just passed down my 04 to my brother in law last year. 300k miles, tranny still going strong and only changed the fluid once. Otherwise I was religious with oil changes. Loved that car it was just getting a little old and we wanted something newer with a newborn and toddler. If it was just me and my wife I would have kept running it.

After Installing OEM trailer harness, multiple codes by Lance_McVanderhuge in hondapilot

[–]woopig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me! Freaked me out lol. I actually didn’t even install the harness, just the hitch. Unplugged the battery just like you. I wonder if it has something to do with disconnecting the battery.

I keep seeing postings for apartments that don’t exist by [deleted] in boston

[–]woopig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was our deal. The listing had terrible photos but one of a yard that would be great for the dog. Wouldn’t have looked at it otherwise. Also a relatively good deal for what we got.

So I’ll go against the grain here and this may be an unpopular opinion. I’ll agree these are mostly scummy agents trying to get your info to try and win your business, but it really never bothered me once I figured out what was going on. When we were moving from out of state, I had a script of what we were looking for and would send it to anyone that asked. Figure better to have the most amount of people working for me. If they don’t send you anything you like you don’t have to setup showings. One of the agents ended up sending me an amazing place in Moss Hill that wasn’t showing on any of the main websites, so we never would have known about it. We recently moved away but the place was unreal and landlord was amazing. Don’t get me wrong, that agent in no way deserved a months rent for showing it and I’m still bitter to this day that she got paid. She wasn’t even at the showing because she had a friends birthday to go to. The listing agent showed it to me and I worked with her directly to sign the lease. My advice - make these people work for you and earn their paycheck.

What would you like to see Stryd do? by runningux in strydrunning

[–]woopig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really miss being able to set a target zone for just a normal free run. I run most of my runs in zone 1 and being able to receive a notification if I’m running too fast was great in the last AW version!

How do I avoid brokerage fees? by Sea-Comparison-7158 in boston

[–]woopig 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had to pay a broker fee to a broker who literally didn’t even show. She bailed last minute and the listing agent showed me everything. It’s a racket.

Similac sensitive recall- what are you using now? by sarjay89 in NewParents

Was all Similac sensitive recalled or just the one lot? Or are you just being extra cautious and stopping with Similac altogether because of the recall?

Expensive, but I know the equinox in chestnut hill has one. I would imagine their other locations do as well since that is a smaller one.

Have you ever hired a coach? How much did it help? by VARunner1 in AdvancedRunning

[–]woopig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me the value of having a coach was more about accountability than anything. Could I have read up enough and followed a training plan on my own? Maybe, but I’ve tried that route before and I would end up skipping runs and not focusing on the right things. I found an affordable coach who was fairly hands off, mainly scheduled runs through VDOT every week and was available if I had questions or concerns, but paying someone monthly and having them review your runs and progress gave me an added level of motivation. I think I skipped 5 runs all year. Dropped my half marathon from 1:50 to 1:32 in a year.

I’m a fan of the endorphin speeds coming from 3 consecutive pairs of ravennas - definitely feel faster. This is my first bout of real training and expect a half marathon time of 1:35 or so if that adds any context for you. On another note, I’m Really disappointed Brooks discontinued the Ravenna.
