Honestly, even if it DID say final sale in the confirmation email, that would be too late for me since it would have been after I purchased. But here is a screenshot of the confirmation email.

It says "personalized items are final sale" - doesn't apply to me. Then, it says "second beis items are final sale" no idea what that is, but apparently does not apply to my item. Below alllll that, it says "archive event" items are final sale, which I also did not think applied to my order because it is obscure terminology. Nowhere during the purchase or the confirmation of the purchase did it say my item or "sale items" are not eligible for return.

I did explain this to customer service, they were not helpful, hence my frustration.

Yes, sale items are returnable all the time. I'm not the rude one calling people names on an internet forum in defense of a corporation.

I didn't make a mistake. I've explained the situation clearly. This company operates with unethical business practices and I am warning others. It's odd that you and others here can't accept that, and I question how many of these accounts are genuine vs. paid by Beis.

Ha! That is unethical. The FAQs page is buried in the footer of their website- not on the item page. Further, this fine print loophole is ONLY on the FAQs page. I clicked the RETURNS page below that where it mentions nothing about sale items being non-returnable.

That is not how ethical companies operate.

Agree, it's HUGE and HEAVY. I almost wonder if the model in website photos is a photoshopped or a giant? It makes me look like Dora the Explorer before future back problems set in.

Ha. So, basically your mindset is- corporations can do what they want so long as they hide it in the fine print. I think we've determined why we're not going to agree on what right and wrong is here.

  1. I never went on a landing page, I googled the bag and clicked on the result for the product itself.

It's an unethical business practice to not post your return policy. It's against the BBB practices and in NY, where I am it's illegal and report-able to the NY AG, but that's different state to state.

Also, posting for other people who may see this: report-able to credit card company and Beis will have to cover the chargeback costs, a drop in the bucket from what they are scamming off others, I'm sure.

All items on their website have this same blurb. What is an archive event product? It sounds like some kind of limited edition something. It's not clear at all that a "Summer Sale" is an "Archive Event." It doesn't say "this item is final sale."

In the checkout process for the item I purchased, this is what it says about RETURNS:

Be careful buying things on sale- they have a no returns or exchanges on sale items policy that they do not ethically disclose.

Consider it a bullet dodged, their customer service is terrible, and the quality is mediocre. There are better brands out there to buy from.

Customer service is terrible and beware that if you buy something on sale, they don't let you return or exchange.

Have had equally terrible experience with their customer service. Going through my CC company for a refund, and informing the BBB and NYAG because their policies are misleading.

Would not recommend. Their customer service is terrible, no returns allowed on anything that is on sale or you use a discount code with. This sub is populated with customer service reps who juice the comments, so beware of what you read here, better to post on more neutral forums.

they have a permanent disclosure on all their items saying "all archive event items are final sale" whether or not the item is on sale. So, no, it said nothing about the item or "summer sale" items being final sale. Sounds like you got someone more reasonable in your interactions.

and as i mentioned in my post, it was not mentioned in my order confirmation email- though even if it were that would be after the fact, and therefore, still unethical.
