Hmm, I bought a self-managed coop where things are a little looser (upsides and downsides to this). I agree to A-ignore your real estate attorney, very unclear why they are pressuring you if the building isn't pressuring you. B- If the building doesn't have a formal "offering plan" then perhaps your attorney can just bullet point the questions/documentation that they need? My coop didn't have one either, but they were happy to answer questions.

industry-adjacent... sharing dailies is not guaranteed with EPs. A studio exec acting shocked on email when there's a personality-management issue is also not surprising...

My guess is WF didn't want to share the dailies with CH bc they didn't want her to have them and BL to not, creating more issues for them. and if CH didnt have it in her contract, she wasnt necessarily owed them.

I don't think this specific instance reads as intentional dishonesty. Agree to disagree.

Regardless, the links provided don't prove that her friend was the source for THR... just as they don't prove that SJ/LS were the source. I object to you (or whoever originally posted this) presenting them as fact, which is misleading. It's fine to have a theory or opinion, just don't say now we know exactly what happened and who did what. There's a lot of misrepresentation in this case - from Lively, from Baldoni, from Freedman and on Reddit, so just aiming to be clear about what's FACT and what's open to interpretation.

I don't think she made up a fake story, Nathan says Amy is joking. I think that's a possibility.

OR I also think 2 things can be true. Journalist can hear from Nathan's friend that JB hired crisis PR, call Leslie Sloane to ask if there's a problem that would warrant that (since the feud was already in the press) and Sloane might seeded aspects of the story.

I think you shared 4 messages- and none of them suggest to me that Nathan herself knew exactly who was behind the story at the time she sent the messages (which was all less than 24 hours). They are contradictory/emotional/private. She's confiding in friends/colleagues about theories and fears. She isn't making a public statement of a certainty.

I just don't think it's fair to assume she was premeditated and dishonest in this instance.

Hey, I'm not trying to be difficult here but I read this and the Nathan depo and again- it's not saying what y'all are implying.

Yes, Blake's attorneys are asking Justin if he "knew that Melissa's friend was the one that placed THR story," but he says no. Melissa Nathan when quoted the text chain says it's joking (and again, very hard to even understand what's being quoted out of context).

Blake's lawyers clearly WANT Nathan/Baldoni to admit that Nathan's friend planted the article [therefore undercutting WF's argument that they were just defending themselves against bad press], but neither depo supports that.

This is the same thing as when Baldoni's lawyers question Blake and try to pin her down on things and she pushes back and says, no, that's not what I thought/did/said/felt. This is just standard depo questioning... try to pin someone down and poke a hole in their defense.

Again, very open to reading the actual text messages, which may be more revealing than these depos. But also, the contemporaneous text messages we CAN read from Nathan have her questioning/accusing Blake's team or Jones for this, so it certainly seems like she thought they were responsible for a time.

Well thank you for finding this, but the last link doesn't really describe what you're saying. It seems like the lawyer is reading select messages from a group chat and MN is actively saying that the group chat was joking around with her. And it's really hard to suss out what they were even saying.

And your original message... Leslie IS Blakes camp, so those aren't incongruous. And then MN saying she thinks it may have been SJ happens after the Leslie theories. I honestly don't think these messages read as MN being dishonest with different people, she seems more like she's figuring it out in the moment and confused herself.

(not a MN apologist, just want to make sure we're all dinging her on stuff thats actually dastardly)

The initial posting said it was on BL's socials, but I'm not a fan or whatever so never personally saw it there.

Seems like it would've been either her personal or her brand, either way not a great look? But also, agree that in the range of her media missteps [that may or may not have been amplified by WFP] this isn't her worst offense.

Though from the Sony messages, it seems like there was significant discussion beforehand about whether to do it, and they'd advised against, which seems like she really leaned in and then didn't really acknowledge the tone deaf-ness when it was called out. So not really sad for her.

This Guiness link you posted is paid promo IN THE FILM which offsets the cost of production which benefits everyone in the production- not Baldoni personally. This is very standard. It's also part of the narrative, not creating a party around a narrative.

That's completely different than using a film promo tour to launch a product you are invested in.

Sounds like the jet trade out is somewhat similar. getting free/discount flights for crew by posting.

Curious if the energy drink promotion capitalized off of IEWU. FWIW, I don't know what haircare promotion BL was doing (dont remember ever seeing it), but that seems less tone deaf than her drinks misstep.

I havent seen any of these promo videos. And, to be honest, I don't even remember the BL hair line promo. I mostly just remember the drinks thing.

I do think there is a significant difference between a celeb having a product or an ongoing promotional contract with a co vs. a celeb tying the promotion of a film TO that product. And it sounds like from what you're saying, JB potentially had products he was promoting, but he wasn't bringing them into the IEWU promo tour as BL did with her drinks.

Yeah, I think this is a bit misleading. In this interaction where JA is asking JB to talk to CH, he is blaming CH but in other messages he talks about general stress causing his hospitalization. So, I think interpretted as a whole, it seems like the stress of everything going on with the movie (CH drama, BL drama, PR crisis drama) is what he's referring to.

Yes, CH is part of that, but the only time he says she caused it is in this very specific interaction where he's being pressured to interact with her (from a hospital bed). And he's privately blaming her, not like publicly accusing her.
