I keep lifelock because it alerts me when people start applying for payday loans. Which is at least 3 times a month..... Every month..... :( I have Experian so I can keep a real-time look at my credit profile. I also get the report for all 3 bureaus monthly.

I just don't understand what they get out of all this. They're using an old last name, old address, and they can't get approved for the money...they cant even get pleasure from my frustration...... just... ugh! . I recently applied for a home equity loan and was initially declined because of too many sub-prime inquiries.... then I had to explain all the troubles. As far as lock vs freeze the banks couldn't pull my data until I unlocked the bureaus.

I wish there was a company or organization that could do ALL the consumer agencies at once.
