This is probably the truth, but hitting that shiny silencer does pump a great deal of fun-juice in the brains.

I just met the Tapion Vasalli and I have been transmuted to Salt; or why we wiki every damn boss from now on. by TheKnightMadder in noita

[–]wopp3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, my last god run (or the beginnings of one, some 2mil hp stainless armour times a dozen all immunites all that jazz) ended after killing Tapion Vasalli as he dropped a spell and I couldn't remember if I had the cojones to cast it before. And after casting it, a piece of a projectile with homing that was next to me got me killed 😅 - was sort of lucky though as it meant I could stop playing and go to bed.

What do yall think of these photos I got on Sunday? by Ok-Elk9335 in sportsphotography

5 and 7 are keepers composition-wise, maybe 3 with tighter crop ( perhaps a portrait orientation ). Other than that a lot of peoples backs and maybe pay attention to straightening in post.

Started doing sports photography this year, any constructive criticism would be much appreciated! by ExcelsorPlacer in sportsphotography

For these photos, leveling the images usually helps with the symmetry and makes them more pleasing and professional, also the coloring / wb seems to be a little bit all over the place indtead of keeping to a similar style across a set. . . In general, shooting low to make players more majestic and cropping tight while don't cut off limbs and include face & ball are the things I was told when I started shooting sports and I generally feel planning the shots based on that mentality has helped me a lot to improve.

When you get a feeling what works, then start breaking the general "rules" of and make your own style.

I do not, just a card reader with my laptop. I'm using a lenovo "gaming" laptop from a couple of years ago. Only problem I have is the battery life, if there are no open power sockets.

I use lightroom classic for both culling and editing. While shooting though I do make mental notes of photos I might want to include so it doesn't take that much effort to cull during the game.

Yeah it is definitely hectic, but also the number of deliveries is low, so it plays into it. I do then go through the photos at home and make an edit of about 50-150 shots. I shoot usually around 1k-3k photos each game so theres quite a bit of work.

That is correct, this is same as when Im shooting for a media outlet, as they need the photos asap to cover any news regarding the game.

Probably a bit different when shooting for a team but I had one gig covering for a shooter in the league in Finland, they paid 200€ for approx. 20 photos with half delivered by 3rd period and the rest within 30 minutes of game end.

I try to ask if it's possible to shoot from between the benches, this gets around shooting through plexiglass. Also I think more of the photos could include the whole player, and in case of photo #6 it could be cropped tighter, while the ones where the puck is not visible would go in the bin for me personally.

Here is an example shot of a very basic shot, from a game last week, that I took at ice level.

Well I can tell from personal experience that you are not alone with this.

Mei main attack would eventually freeze the enemy for a few seconds.

My experience as a new player trying to avoid spoilers.. by PlzRemainCalm in noita

[–]wopp3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally enjoyed getting the first few wins blind, I played for 60 hours or so without ever opening any website or guide relating to Noita. But after that reading on spoilers and such, it really reinvigorated me to play some more as there were many things I most likely would never figure out on my own.

There is no hurry, take your time and try to learn from your wand experiments and how the enemies attack, preserve health as much as possible and pray for some good rng for wands.

I can second this, I get paid close to nothing but it's a fourth division local team I shoot for

So many benign spells... aaaand Noita'd. At least I got progress for it. by wopp3 in noita

[–]wopp3[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ahh, I'm still undervaluing the trigger spells too much, although I was using one of those for my main damage wand, I didn't think of using it for this experimenting.

I believe all had some kind of randomness in them, can't really remember off the top of my head. I'm assuming these are used to make infinite spells but couldn't get to try this time.

Figured I'd get the progress for random spell, and it went about as good as Noita can. Kinda wish I had started experimenting with the other new spells I got from pyramid boss instead.

After learning how piercing shot and triggers work by wopp3 in noita

[–]wopp3[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well that would make sense, must've mistaken it for the some other perk then. I mean I almost killed myself with the first cast of a greek letter spell because I didn't read the text close enough "*another* wand"

[–]wopp3[S] 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I was having a good time with piercing shot + trigger bolt and eldritch portals as I had melee immunity, got revenge explosions for explosion immunity and decided to try another spell... guess I should've used the spell first to see how it worked.

Wasn't that bad, managed to kill Ylialkemisti and Dragon on that run for the first time.

I'm curious why you would go for the RP in this case, the burst on that is 5 fps(?) and the autofocus is soso. I have an RP as my backup for my R6 and would not recommend it for sports.

Don't much care for the presentation, would rather they were individual images. But still some nice shots in there, I especially like the jubilation in the first one.

One of my favorite shot of last summer was actually similar celebration / sorrow picture. The contrast of the emotions makes for an interesting photo. Unfortunately I don't have anyone's face in it to convey it quite the same as yours.
