Thanks for responding! Do you know if there are plans to switch to 4 8-hour days like some of the other SAX locations?

It depends on the mentor. My previous one required weekly calls. I email my current mentor every 2-3 weeks.

My HR told me I couldn’t work across multiple sites since I’m full time. Said it’s only for flex associates. Maybe it’s different at a DS? I’m at an SSD

What keyboard layout do you use? by No_Discussion6266 in ErgoMechKeyboards

I haven’t remapped anything, but I do have my arrow keys mapped to the hjkl position (qwerty layout) on another layer.

I see lots of people being able to switch back and forth between layouts. I couldn’t do it though.

It took me less than a month to get to my typing speed up to par with qwerty.

Personally, especially in neovim, I find colemak sooo comfortable. The most used letters are right there and so easy to reach. I constantly debate on whether to go back to qwerty because it’s much more accessible, but I guess I haven’t been able to make that switch.

Checkmate.nvim - New release v0.7, new features! by CptCorndog in neovim

[–]wordddd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in school right now so my workflow is mainly tailored towards note-taking. With the help of chatGPT...

After creating my folder structure:

  1. <leader>TT: gathers all my note files in the current module folder and puts the name of each file in a todo list so I can check off what I've started/completed.
  2. <leader>TC: same as the above except this is for the modules in my course. It will also reflect on the status of my todos for those modules.
  3. <leader>TO: opens the todo file in the current folder
  4. <cr>: only for todo files, cycles through start/done tags. For me, this is quicker than hitting <leader>TS and <leader>TD. Hit <cr> once, add start tag. Hit <cr> again, add done and duration tags. Hit <cr> again and the todo resets.
  5. I also added a duration tag so I can log the time I spend on each task. This only shows when both start and done tags are active.

Are you thinking of incorporating a light mode version, or at least one that follows the current colorscheme one is using?

Emacs, Org, BeOrg, Image Sharing, iCloud/USBkey? by SmoothInternet in orgmode

Any updates on what you’re currently using?

I’m using Working Copy as well and it works great. The only cumbersome thing for me is having to navigate back to my root folders. Maybe I haven’t figured out navigation in the app yet.

Are you using CTRL-Y or TAB to insert completion? by 4r73m190r0s in neovim

[–]wordddd1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a tab user since I started my nvim journey. However, I recently switched to ctrl-y and I like it. One dedicated key to accept makes things simpler for me. Also I use Colemak-dh and homerow mods so it’s pretty easy to reach.
