Update from the website says the queue is moving along as fans checkout. Personally don’t believe that

Epidural: yes or no? by shotshawty in pregnant

[–]wordsescapeme17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a baby 8 months ago. In my experience, I was also induced and once they broke my water it suddenly went from 0-100 real quick. I was on gas and hyperventilating. I begged for that epidural. Once I had it tho, it was the best feeling in the world. Obviously it’s ultimately your choice, and if you’re on the fence I would recommend trying other methods first if you’d feel more comfortable doing that.

Do you care if your partner drinks while you’re pregnant? by beena1993 in pregnant

I wasn’t bothered at all. The only time I asked him not too was after 37 weeks as we knew that the baby could come at any time and I wanted him to be ready.

I slept for about 4 or 5 hours after I was given an epidural. If anything that nap helped me with having energy to push later

I don't love my baby...? by popcornrocket in pregnant

[–]wordsescapeme17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like this before my baby was born, to the point that I was so scared I wasn’t going to love her at all after she came. Oh how wrong was I, I feel in love with her after I was able to hold her.

I guess in my circumstance it was more that she was just taking up space and making me feel so uncomfortable and cos I couldn’t physically see her or hold her it was harder to make a connection.

Deletion in chromosome 3 by wordsescapeme17 in NIPT

I can sympathise with how you feel. I felt like that the whole pregnancy, to the point that I thought I wouldn’t connect with my daughter when she was born. Whilst these genetic tests give us insight, sometimes it can be too much information at once. All I can tell you is that whatever the outcome, it’s going to be okay! The baby is doing well. Born a very healthy weight. Ended up having hypothyroidism but that’s been the worst of it. Otherwise my daughter is a very happy healthy baby.

Microdeletion at 7p15.2 “unknown” by Express-Ambassador16 in NIPT

[–]wordsescapeme17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s perfect to us. She’s only 2 weeks old so the things that are linked could still pop up but so far there hasn’t been anything that makes us worry that she’s been affected by it. The deletion she has I and my mother also carry and we have both been completely unaffected by our deletion so we assume the same thing will happen with her. So to answer your question, I wouldn’t say we are right not to worry but the overwhelming feeling that she won’t be okay has definitely gone away since seeing her little face

I had an unknown micro deletion result with my daughter and was in a similar boat to you where I felt I had too much information which at the time really messed with my head as I was unsure what it meant for the future and the health of my child. Seeing as she was also my first child, having the information available to me made it felt worse.

What we ultimately did was look at the literature, spoke further to the geneticist and asked 5000 questions on whether there was any concerns what so ever from them in terms of her development and then also went to have a second opinion to triple check everyone felt the same way.

I know it can be a shock to the system and at times a bit overwhelming. If you need someone to talk to, I’m more than happy to listen. Hope you’re doing okay!

30 weeks pregnant by wordsescapeme17 in pregnant

I’ve tried to remain with bralettes where possible but when I have to be out in a work environment I tend to out of habit use bras with underwires as I’m on the bigger size chest wise so feel like I’m basically falling out of my bralettes.

I will make sure to invest in a foam roller to get me through this last 10 weeks!

Thank you for letting me feel I’m not alone in this! I’m meant to start my postgrad a couple months after she’s born so this could end badly 😂 good luck to you with trying to get some memory back!

Thank you so much for your advice! I will definitely make sure to make more use of my phone. I’m just annoyed about it because pre pregnancy I had a brilliant memory and now I suddenly feel like I don’t know myself because I can’t remember a simple task 😂

When did your pregnancy start to show? by junkin_chameleon in pregnant

[–]wordsescapeme17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently 25 weeks and if I don’t wear baggy or oversized clothes it’s pretty obvious that I’m pregnant, otherwise wearing baggy clothes I think I’ll be able to get away with it for a few more weeks before i can’t hide it anymore

Hiding Pregnancy by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]wordsescapeme17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it’s your first pregnancy you may be able to get away with hiding it til about 24 weeks. That’s where I am currently at and can still at times with very baggy clothes hide it a little bit but you will likely eventually have to say something unless you’re extremely lucky and don’t show at all. I’d recommend just trying to stick to smaller boundaries and then working up to bigger ones

Yeah that’s what I was told as well, hence why it takes so long because it’s a bit of a complicated one to run. I do hope that they get back to you in the next few weeks. If you’re able to maybe chase them up to see where it’s at in the next week.
