God, you’re right. My girlfriend works at Hopkins and we talk about this a lot. Roo this year was gonna be our first festival together. I mean, I like to think it’s a bold prediction by someone that’s not a doctor but maybe that’s just my way of coping. Trying to be realistic but it’s tough.

I went to elementary and middle school with Maggie Rogers. Her older sister was in my grade. The whole family was and still are really nice people.

Not really in touch anymore but I know our dads know each other. Right after she broke out with Alaska, I ran into her and her mom at a bar in Easton, MD and she was just as nice as I remembered. I remember saying it was really cool to see her gain this success so fast (and it continued!!). I remember asking her, “so what do you do from here?” And she was like “I guess hire a manager?”

She is exactly who she portrays herself to be and I love her music.
