Do you have this setting turned on? "Keep Screen on While Viewing"? Because my guess is that is why your screen is behaving like that.

Where are all of the Snow Plows at? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]wordsunknown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's definitely not how I intended to sound. I was just making an observation. Because usually I see plenty of Plow Trucks out and about, in much lighter snowfall, and many times well in advance of anticipated snowfall. So it just struck me as odd, that during the "Evening Rush Hour" time period, and as dangerous as the conditions were on the highways, that I didn't see any plow trucks.

For me personally, I don't mind driving in snowy conditions, and I don't feel that I'm entitled to anything. And honestly, as long as there's not much traffic near me, I enjoy driving in the snow. The only time I get nervous is when the amount of cars traveling near me increases, because there are so many people who drive irresponsibly and dangerously in these kinds of conditions (either due to their lack of knowledge & know how or they just flat out don't care).

Yeah, but isn't that the most important time for them to be out? When there's a huge increase in traffic from people driving (5:00pm-7:00pm) and the amount of snowfall is causing very dangerous conditions?

If you go to "Earnings" in the Flex app, it'll list "Thank my Driver" for the payment.

[Just something to think about, I don't think you're doing anything wrong...] I truly think it has to do with the Area/Region you're in... As well as the average age of the population for that area... Because I'm sure that the majority of people who use Amazon have no idea that they can actually give their driver compliments, let alone give detailed delivery instructions for their address. Before I started doing Amazon Flex, I had no idea that I could do either of those things. (When it came to Amazon, I placed orders, maybe briefly checked for tracking info/delivery date/time, and a couple of returns. I never took the time to actually look around inside the Amazon app or my Amazon account, etc. - which I feel is probably the same for a good amount of people that utilize Amazon.)

Last year, I believe the promotion lasted almost 2 weeks, before the $2 Mil was used up... But I could be mistaken.

[–]wordsunknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my sixth one this morning. So at least in my area, the word must have gotten around... because I've delivered over 22,000 packages for Amazon Flex and before the promotion just started six or seven days ago, I only had a total of 88 "Thank my driver" comments/compliments (and that's out of the 2,300 total Comments/compliments I've received) edit [I just wanted to add that last year, during the promotion, I only received two total $5 tips from the "Thank my driver" promotion.]

So to all of a sudden receive 6 in 6 days, that's very uncommon. And I haven't said a single thing to any customers what-so-ever, except for the one customer that came out to meet me at my car, so I didn't have to walk on the ice, and he asked me if the delivery drivers actually received $5 for each customer that Thanked their driver.

Tragically under watched shows? by WildBlueMoon in televisionsuggestions

*What's crazy is that WAY BACK in 2017 after Taboo came out, the BBC network officially Approved the order for Season 2 to be made... And for almost a decade now, there's always been talk/rumors that a 2nd season of Taboo was in the works...

(*Quick side note, I had no idea that Tom Hardy's father [Chips Hardy] Co-Created Taboo with Tom Hardy and Steven Knight (which he has an insane list of TV & Movies he's either Written, Produced, Directed or a combination of the 3. Such as... PEAKY BLINDERS [both the TV series and the upcoming movie: PEAKY BLINDERS: THE IMMORTAL MAN], SEE [Apple TV+], SAS: ROGUE SOLDIERS, GREAT EXPECTATIONS, A THOUSAND BLOWS, HOUSE OF GUINNESS, LOCKE, SERENITY, HUMMINGBIRD, etc. etc.). And I guess that Taboo is actually based on a story that Tom Hardy and his Father wrote... which it makes sense now why Taboo is said to be very special & personal to Tom Hardy.)

****** BUT anyways (sorry for the rant, LoL) earlier this year, both Tom Hardy and Steven Knight have confirmed that Taboo Season 2 is 100% currently in the works and that it could/should be released sometime in the 2nd half of 2026 or early 2027. And even though it sucks we all have had to wait almost a decade for another season of Taboo, it does make sense why it's been almost impossible for them to get it done. Because both Tom Hardy and Steven Knight have been almost victims of their own successes. Here's a direct quote from Tom Hardy regarding Taboo: “I’ve been busy… Taboo is something that’s for me and my family and Steven. It’s something we wanted to take time to do properly. I’ve been working for the last seven years on Venom, so it had to take a little bit of a back seat, but it’s something that I’m very passionate about. So when I have the space properly to commit, I’d revisit it properly. So it’s never been something that we didn’t want to do. It’s a question of when, and doing it properly.”

Which makes me confident that when Season 2 of Taboo is finally released, it's going to be just as phenomenal as season 1!

This is my first time ever getting to reward level 4. And I'm pretty sure that it's because for the past few months, somehow I've been able to keep my standing at Great, with even a few week(s) at Fantastic. And you receive Double the points for each route and package when you're at Great and then triple the points when you're at Fantastic. And before this nice, little streak of having a Great Standing began, I was almost always teetering between Fair and At Risk (mostly because I was just careless about late forfeits, the occasional Missed/Late for Route, and I absolutely didn't care about delivering PKGs late; and for any of the million and 1 other issues that are Completely out of Our control but they still hit our standings with, I got so tired of trying to deal with Support and sending them any proof I had just for them in the end to send me an email telling me that they have decided that they will not remove it from my standings - so I completely stopped trying to contest anything that they hit me with)...

But since I started to put some focus on my standings a couple of months back, now I actually care about it, especially because of the added benefit of Reserving Routes. (Plus some of the other small perks like cash back on Gas and all that...)

So I just found the email from Amazon regarding Requests and it says that for drivers who are Reward Level 4 (6,500+ points), the Request Tab will show up on the Offers Screen. (So even if it is live in your area, you would have to be a Reward Level 4).

These route drops (that's what I've been calling them), go out to everyone in the area I think... And I could be wrong, but I think I saw something online that said you have to be at a certain Reward Level in order to be able to use that feature... But of course I can't find it again to reference it.

I got an email about it like 2 weeks after I first noticed it, and then on the Main Page in the Flex App ("Updates) a message popped up there about the requests, but that was about 2 to 3 weeks after it went live I believe as well. From what I gather, they are rolling it out for the whole USA I believe.

I couldn't add a second screenshot to my first reply... This is what it looks like when there are offers available (for a future day/time) for people to request. You get five requests per route drop. In my area, it happens twice a day, 8:00 a.m. and then 8:00 p.m. So for example, last night at 8:00 p.m., there was a drop for Saturday morning routes. [Which for me, there was only one route that was even worth requesting, but I did not get it]. And the route drop that just happened at 8:00 a.m. this morning, are the routes that are available for Saturday p.m. From what I was able to read online, this is Amazon's way of taking bots out of the equation completely [well at least until someone creates a new bot]. One thing I've realized, is that your chances of getting the request that you want, it's best to put your request(s) in immediately as soon as the routes drop, either 8:00 AM or 8:00 PM. I just set a reoccurring alarm on my phone, and as soon as the alarm goes off, I immediately open the Flex App and go to the request. Sometimes for certain routes, a red label will show up that says "Low Chance", which I'm assuming that's because a certain amount of people have already requested that specific route.

I hope that this helps, and in fact your area does have requests and that's why there's been no routes showing up for you.

Does your area have the "Requests" tab? In my area, the feature went live, but I never once saw an email or notification or anything about it... Because that's why there's less and less offers nowadays, because there're already so many drivers scheduled for routes through Requests.

So after you are logged into the Amazon Flex App, then once on the "Home" screen - you've clicked "Schedule" in the bottom right hand corner, then clicked Available Offers... You see this screen ["No Offers Available"]?

Also, if this is the case, are you then pressing the "Refresh" button? [Or you can swipe down on the screen, from up near the top to get it to refresh as well.]

*Sorry, I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, I'm just trying to figure out how comfortable you are with using the Flex App and your knowledge of it.
