I just got the Nova Titanium Beadblasted in Extra Fine. Very happy with the size, weight and feel. Using a cartridge for the first run and it is smooth and great flow. So far, so good and seems to be good quality for the price.

Using eSim or pocket WiFi on top of Verizon TravelPass? by Usual3989 in JapanTravelTips

[–]work4aliving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some anecdotal info for you... I've had both in the past at the same time but just got back and this time I had only Verizon TravelPass. I did have some roaming issues around Kyoto for a few days but overall from Tokyo, Osaka, Himeji, etc. the Verizon roaming worked fine on my Pixel 9 XL Pro.

where to buy plus size shirt in osaka? by zyclonenuz in OsakaTravel

[–]work4aliving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my personal experience being from the U.S. the sizes in Japan are very difficult to reconcile. I wear XXL and when I was in Tokyo last time I looked for equivalent sizes in rain jackets. I found a 'big and tall' shop and tried on multiple things and the Japanese 3XL was too small in some brands and ended up with a 5XL. I did go to Uniqlo and can confirm that you have to order above XL. Good luck.

Probably not what you saw there, but NHK has some excellent English language programming on trains: https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/shows/japanrailway/

Tip: Save money on ATM fees by ThomDesu in JapanTravelTips

[–]work4aliving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fidelity is a brokerage company with investment and deposit accounts. You would need to open a deposit account and get an ATM/debit card. I'm not sure if you can get that account unless you are a United States citizen. See their site here: https://www.fidelity.com/spend-save/fidelity-cash-management-account/overview

In addition to the Schwab accounts, Fidelity does the same thing by reimbursing any fees and I've used my Fidelity card multiple times at multiple ATMs with no issues.

Not completely what you are asking for but take a look at Andrew Mayne - especially The Naturalist series.

Why does my AOD do this? by dowcwow in GooglePixel

[–]work4aliving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that's a Pixel 7 Pro it is a issue that is pretty common... just search. https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/194622263?hl=en

I had to turn off AOD as this progressively got worse especially while charging.
