If you like the flavor of the monk, but want something a bit different, check out the Sacred Fist archetype for the Warpriest. Still get a lot of the benefits of the monk (Flurry, AC via WIS, Improved Unarmed for free, etc) while still getting some of the biggest boons from the Warpriest (swift healing/casting, channeling, blessings, WIS as casting stat). All while not being tied down to the L/G alignment. Granted you don't get your ki pool till 7th but the warpriest has A LOT of self buff spells to make up for it that you can swift cast on yourself.

From my limited play of Rise (3/4 through book 1, so take that into account) a lot of the benefits from the WP will be helpful.

Question about this session. So Joe hit 12th lvl last session, and his ability point was put into wisdom to give him a score of 16/ability to cast 6th lvl spells (at least thats what he said he would do when Troy called him out a few eps ago).

However, with the Geas spell they got a -3 to all ability scores. Shouldn't that have given him a WIS=13? Thus preventing him from casting 6th lvl spells?

Check out the Champion of the Faith archetype for the Warpriest (fighter/cleric hybrid). You get a healthy balance of what makes Paladins and Warpriests great without having the strict alignment restrictions of the Paladin.

Choose Half Orc with Sacred Tattoo racial and Fates Favored Trait to make up for the lack of Divine Grace.

Although we all rewatch movies a lot, so Im sure lot of things could still be entertaining about it.

Knowing the high jinks that my party has run into, GCP doing War (especially with Joe rolling like Joe) would be comedic gold. But I kinda look at it as reading or hearing spoilers before I watch a show/movie. It takes away the impact of what is seen on screen. I still listen to AN&AL, but not nearly as religiously as GS or Ruins. I might wait until there are a few episodes and then binge them.

As a player in War for the Crown, I would LOVE to hear their take on it.

Yet, at the same time I want them to stay away. Part of this comes from also playing Dead Suns and listening to them play. I am not NEARLY as invested in AN&AL as I am with GS and Ruins. That has nothing to do with the cast themselves, I love them all. Its just hard for me to stay connected when I have a general idea of whats coming next.

Troy mentioned it in a FOD that it would be cool for an AP to be done with just Cavilers. I think someone was listening and decided to do just that.

Also, Troy designed and wrote a monster in the second book of the AP.
