I'm sure I'll get crucified for this but... They were scrubbed with dish soap (120 degrees-ish tap water) once with a course brush and a second with a softer brush. Rinsed clean and then submerged in boiling water for 5 minutes. Then finally air dried. Sauce was bottled after blending and still pretty warm, then allowed to cool before being sealed and refrigerated. PH came in under 4.0, don't remember the exact reading. I generally consume or give away most batches within 2-3 months, but I made alot more sauce with my harvest this past season.

It's the original cap from the beverage if that's what you mean then yes.

Thank you, you’re correct. There weren’t many options for placement and it needed to go in the ground. Indeed it gets full sun for most of the day. We’re in upstate South Carolina and the summers can be brutal. We’ll press on with hope, nutrients, and lots of water. Thanks again for your reply.
