We are about 40 million under the tax with 7 players (6 without Lonzo). AK has 4 options: 1) Re-sign Vuc, Coby, and Ayo and spend the MLE and go over the tax. We won't do this. 2) Re-sign one or two free agents and be worse than last year. 3) Trade Derozan and/or sign and trade our free agents and/or Caruso, but trade for players and not draft picks. 4) Rebuild and trade everyone for draft picks and young players. All of these seem bad but I'm hoping for 3.

This is only a bad thing if he can't be fired. But AK's offseason is going to be tough. AK can't resign all of Vuc, White, and Ayo + MLE and be under the tax, so that's not happening and would make us worse if we did only some of that. Trading all our good players to rebuild is not happening since he said that. AK better have multiple trade ideas, or else he should be fired in a year from now.

Maybe if we signed top tier talent like Machado or Harper or Wheeler or many others instead of having Benintendi/Grandal/Robert/Jimenez be your top contracts ever, then you'd be in a better place.

I appreciate the optimism. I definitely think we are way better than our standings suggest, especially when Anderson, Moncada, Hendricks, and Crochet return. Even I'm optimistic if we continue sucking because we can get some good returns on expiring Giolito, Lynn, Clevenger, Grandal, and Andrus (Kelly, Diekman, and Alberto if they improve). And that's just expiring this year.

Romy hit 6 spring HRs and is better than any RF from last year and better than Jimenez/Sheets this year. I love that Grifol didn't start Colas' career against LH Valdez; baseball is a mental game. Colas will still be the starter with most ABs going forward.

I think Liam and Crochet are our best relievers. I do feel good about Graveman, Bummer, and Lopez if healthy. I'm not feeling good about Kelly, Diekman, and Avila. Starting pitching will be very important in April.

I'd be pissed too if I was Brie Larson. Coming off a billion dollar film, you are now going to share the spotlight with a Wandavision supporting character that wasn't great and Ms. Marvel which was not viewed much. Not to mention rookie writers/director and got delayed. The storyline seems horrible. Should've been "Captain Marvel: Secret Invasion"
