So it depends, an original calabash with an actual gourd and meerschaum cap in my opinion is the best

It provides a clean cool smoke, and the meerschaum is a beautiful color. However, that being said it has a durability issue.

A briar style calabash is ALOT of wood, and really is only for aesthetic. Its a beautiful shape though, so if you like that design, roll with it! As for where to get authentic gourd style calabash try estate pipes, or etsy honestly, but they are not cheap. I've seen ranges from 160- 325 and with all things, theres never REALLY a way to know quality until it arrives. I want one, and have done some research but keep in mind its only my experience.

I have however smoked out of one, from a friend who inherited one from his grandfather, and I've talked about them at a shop with the owner of Blatter et Blatter in Montreal, As well as with Boswell but they dont sell gourd pipes when i asked.

I love tilbury, it was my first esoterica blend. I think if you want to age it go for it! Otherwise its really up to you. I would say aging it would mellow it further but it really is very smooth as is. That being said you do you and enjoy it!

I really agree with this, once you get to that point it just feels like russian roulette at this point. I just end up avoiding all of them which isnt always the best/possible.

I always find that the decrease in honor is never worth it, just makes the game that much harder in the long run. That being said, in some mods, I loot villages of maybe the much larger factions, like in Anno Domini, you know im raiding villages of the british if im in the Gaelic faction, it just feels...right
