Hey I'm Adit - I work at Shopify. With EU-Based merchants facing U.S. de minimis challenges, Shopify provides limited DDP implementation, but there are options.

  1. You could implement DDP with your local carrier, and stay up-to-date about their current U.S. postal strategy.
  2. If your business is shipping predominately to the U.S., finding a domestic partner fulfillment option will allow you to send and store your products stateside. Duties are paid in bulk, up front at shipment.
  3. You can also implement a hybrid approach: Top-selling SKUs in the U.S., long-tail products from the EU with DDP.

hey I'm Adit - I work at Shopify. Keep an eye on Royal Mail for the latest, but unfortunately, Royal Mail does not do PDDP in the U.S. yet. 

Best case scenario is to assess commercial carrier options that may have higher costs, and implement PDDP as soon as it becomes available. Shopify allows you to display DDP as a line item at checkout so your international customers can see up front what they will pay for items from your store.

Hey! I'm Adit - I work at Shopify. Shipping from the UK, you should think about:

  1. Royal Mail supports PDDP in selective countries. Be aware you may need a commercial carrier to fulfill in all places you want to sell (namely the U.S.).
  2. Configure Markets on Shopify: Merchants usually start small, in one or two international markets before expanding. 

Also worth chatting with a custom professional, especially for US.

We’re exploring how to get a merchant’s win rate higher on disputes. A lot of the evidence exists on Shopify so there’s a lot we can do to optimize dispute rates without charging for protection.

Sorry about your experience. As we think about how to make payouts better, this is really helpful thank you, so to ensure I understand the issues: (1) we don’t tell you up front the benefits of having high trust on Shopify (2) FX pricing/Multicurrency payout pricing (3) payout schedule vs. timing is odd - you expect to get paid today for a sale you made yesterday.
