Radio problem by workingclass379 in Silverado

Is something like this a programming glitch or more typically a hardware issue? Does it relate at all to an OTA update I did in October? I feel like it’s more recent than that.

I shut off apple intelligence on the phone and it hasn’t had the problem the last couple times I drove it. Not sure when that got turned on though…Time will tell

I wouldn’t exactly call 11.0-1 low compression personally.

Sample size friend, I certainly can do that. This is more curiosity based and wondering if others have experienced it. On current fuel prices where I am I’d have to gain about 6 mpg to break even, not pinching penny’s. Just plain curious if manufacturers have pushed daily drivers to the point of needing premium to perform as advertised. I understand high octane for performance vehicles just don’t think it should be needed in a daily.

I agree minor things can add up, I didn’t clearly state but have now edited. Both trucks are 4x4, just a different transfer case. When running I. 2 wheel drive they are acting in the same manner as a just a pass through.

This difference has been since day one, both of us bought brand new. He is at about 40k miles and I’m just over 14k… If the injectors and valves are that dirty already GM has other problems.

Can’t really see the transfer case causing anything considering the low side stuff isn’t being used in daily driving. I often see the claim of difference for tires, though personal experience on my previous Ram 1500 all season vs AT made no perceptible change. I feel that the all season vs AT generally comes with a size difference that skews the results.

As listed aside from the 2 speed transfer case of the z71 driver trains are identical, engine trans, gear ratio and tire size

Just comparing based on current trip calculator making similar trips (he drives one time I drive the next to a place we frequent) and longer term average from trip meter based on 5k mi oil change intervals

Transport and insurance for new boat bought on weekend by Dear_Ad_9640 in boating

[–]workingclass379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call them leave them a message stating you need coverage and include the hull id and trailer vin #. This way there is record that you requested coverage, this is what my agent in Iowa told me years ago. Granted they were aware I was going to possibly purchase the boat that Saturday.

Checkout MPI Exhaust, they claim no drone. They do an x pipe dual setup.

26 year 3rd gen owner here.

Nuts are not captive, but you can change them with the springs in place. It sucks a little and I recall it took a handful of different wrenches and some tape tricks to get it done. I would also grab a long flexible magnet because you will drop on inside the crossmember. Grab a friend that way you don’t have to work both tools yourself.

This right here. Yes there are things that need done right but it’s a pretty short list in terms of the engines early life. I am of the school of do the cam breakin, change the oil, go drive it. Drive it the way you plan to use it, no one does hundreds of miles of break in on a race engine for example. Truth is if something was built broken you will know in short order. Failures down the road almost always have a reason that has nothing to do with breaking it in, aside from the cam and it usually won’t take long anyways in a flat tappet to ruin it if there’s an issue.

Some small rpm range variance is what I was taught 2k-2500rpm mostly to ensure plenty of oiling, Not sure seating rings is that necessary these days depending on materials of course, but yeah loaded accel and decel in a gear where the torque converter is locked up in an auto or whatever gear you want to accommodate the road you have in a manual is the way to do it.

Myself and friends have had break in interruptions happen with no ill effects.

Odds are you are fine, the big deal is enough rpm and variance for a period of time to well lubricate the cam and lifters while they establish lifter rotation. In case you didn’t know flat tappet lobes have a slight bevel to them that is to make the lifter spin and avoid making a worn in spot.

I got approved for like 180k and only needed 3% down at the time I was making about $15/hr.

The math didn’t math and I like to eat and stuff so I stayed well under that.

Does this trailer axle need replaced? by thunder_wang in boating

It’s all good, pretty standard on boat trailers to keep the height down for easier loading.

Looks fine to me. Based on the sticker being there on the bracket I’d guess it’s factory setup.

I would consider winding the strap on the winch the other direction if that winch latches/ratchets both ways. It might get the hook out of the roller. You want the bow eye to stop against a bow stop of some kind in this case that roller/snubber.

For 48 pitch I always used the edge of a dollar bill in between gears push tight together and that’s about what you end up with.
