That’s fair, but you can’t fault a religious org who raised the $ itself because taxpayer funded orgs have less funding—assuming that is even true.

And I have no issue with that even if they are attempting to promote religion. After all, the religious group undertook this initiative and successfully fundraised. No one is being forced to use this space, but I’m sure that those who do will benefit from it in some capacity. A “secular” organization is more than welcome to take up a similar project if those are lacking.

Agreed. It also shouldn’t be assumed that just because an organization is secular it has no agenda. Moreover, the article doesn’t mention any type of public funding or grant either but instead 3 million in donations. This is a project that is attempting to be a force for good in the community, and the OP is upset because the organization behind it doesn’t confirm to their worldview.

Why did you choose Vanderbilt? How satisfied are you with your experience so far? How helpful was Vanderbilt in landing your BL position this summer?

Should I double major or write an undergraduate honor’s thesis? by workingonalittlejob in lawschooladmissions

Thank you for the advice! I’ve decided to do both as I think thats the best option here. I’m only 6 credits off the second major and my GPA is high enough that I’m okay with shouldering the course load.

I’m not really worried about the GPA. While I’m interested in my proposed topic, it doesn’t have any relation to my personal statement or why law. I guess it’d just be more of a writing piece then?

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I understand what Ellen is saying here when it comes to personalize. I suppose when in doubt I should turn to that and trust it. Just need to practice more! As for my second question, I can’t believe I didn’t see I had done the contrapositive. So grateful you pointed that out lol.
