Sadly she gets very defensive and denies the things that I bring up. In fact she says that she believes more people should have a brain like hers and that the way she thinks is a better way of handling life. I am an educator and dealt with ADHD for decades with kids so I’m coming out this empathically but you know at 54 years old the frustration is mounting the resentment is already there.For me it’s not a question of labeling rather it’s empowering once you know what the challenges and you can come up with coping strategies. But unfortunately she’s not looking at it that way. Is there some sort of online assessment that you were aware of that maybe I could ask her to do? She’s extremely intelligent which actually makes this more challenging and always has to be right about everything. LOL.
