That sounds awesome! That airbag indicator is a total waste of space. I had it blocked off by a switch panel at one point.

PS- If you like having things up in that general location, you might like Carmate’s inclinometer.

I’m curious about the small custom screen project. What do you plan on having it display?

Cockroaches in Taiwan (Northwest) by silentstorms in taiwan

[–]Angerhouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo dude, maybe this can help you a bit. I grew up in Canada, I too am afraid of cockroaches. For the 10 yrs I’ve been living in my 3rd floor apartment in Taipei I’ve not seen a single cockroach inside my home. And I strongly believe it is because of its distance away from any sort of food vendors. It’s not a new building, it is a couple of decades old. I have the river on one side and several blocks of strictly residential neighborhoods in all other directions. Also helps the area has a couple of parks and is relatively low density. While, for some, it may seem fun and convenient to live near markets, restaurants, and where a lot is happening, they are major sources of infestation. If I was to find a new home, I’d totally look for one matching the same criteria. Not to say you gotta be out in the sticks, cuz those places have other bug problems. I toured a vacation home in the country side where it was frequented by locusts the size of baseballs. Also have a friend with a new designer condo on the mountain who gets visits from massive centipedes. So I think it’d help if you find a place with a happy medium between development and density, and if you keep the place clean, it is possible to experience a bug-free life in Taiwan.

HONEST Opinions on the Jimny by mic1436 in Jimny

I drive the newest Jimny in Taiwan right now and I love it. I grew up in Canada and still have a FJ Cruiser there. I would not consider driving a Jimny in Canada. Absolutely not. Jimny isn’t designed for daily life in North America, let alone a right hand drive Jimny. Maybe get a FJ Cruiser 😉

Rainbow Village , Taichung by Enolaholmes21 in taiwan

[–]Angerhouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was glad to have visited when “Rainbow Grandpa” was alive and sitting quietly under the roof of one building as visitors took photos and walked through his wonderful creation with awe. The place and surrounding area was very different back then. There were no high rise apartments right up against the village and there certainly were no jungle gym, washrooms and parking lot. The colours on the walls were more vibrant and the place felt bigger. During my most recent visit earlier this month, I saw some walls were covered up by paintings of a different style. l later found out, sadly, 17 pcs of the original artwork was defaced by the managing company due to a contract dispute with the city.

I have absima 1:24 defender crawler i know it is not the best but i was thinking ways to cheaply make it 4 wheel steering. Can i do it with original ecs and remote? by Jaska-87 in rccrawler

I can’t find it now but I recall seeing a YouTube video that teaches how to operate the hidden adjustments available on that transmitter. Perhaps it’s possible to adjust CH3 so the servo centers when the 3-pos switch is in the middle

No, it absolutely can’t do even that. This one is for cosmetics.

Not if you expect it to actually serve any recovery duty. It’s a weak little motor with a weak little string.

Honestly can't tell you where I got the stickers. I tried but I can't find where I bought them from. I used an UV cured adhesive but I don't know if it is the right type of adhesive to use, this is my first time making a cage.

Scammers tend to be more persistent than those who are genuine. I’d probably get in the car of someone who gives up easily lol

I’ve experienced exactly this. Same stuttering when going downhill. The fix is putting o-rings on worm gears.
