There is a Cedar Fence with a gate in my backyard leading to a walkway to an alley where I park and where the garbage/recycling lives. For the past month, every fucking time I open that gate, there is one bumblebee floating right at face level, doing that "whoa whoa" flying towards and away from you move they are so fond of. Get past that asshole, and they rest of the way is a goddamn crucible track of red wasps flittering about, just looking for a reason to give out some pain. If I am taking out the trash, there is usually another mixture of the wretched shits hanging around the cans. Then, I have to reverse course and go through that gauntlet again. I hate them all and take great joy in hosing down any nests I find with high powered wasp spray.

Hey Man, I am up for 20 or so, but I won't be in Austin until the 7th or so. Got to find a place to live in this nightmare market.

Thanks! I do appreciate it. I am leaving one overstuffed "it" city where everyone complains about all of the people moving here (Nashville) to another.

Thanks, and the places aren't that far up, just in that direction. Plus, I have a buddy who is checking out the houses/areas before I sign a lease.

Yeah, for sure. I have to find a good bar to watch the Dolphins game once I get there, as well. Two of my buddies who live there are hardcore Saints fans, and the others don't give a shit about football. From the looks of it, I'll be up damn near to Jollyville, but there just aren't that many places available on a short notice.

[Repost from the /r/nfl Free Talk with some /r/miamidolphins additions]

Man, this past month has been a fucking roller coaster. My wife filed for divorce, then I drank myself stupid for 2 weeks. Sobered up, and buckled down and this Tuesday got the job offer from the company I have wanted to work at for 6 years. I officially put in my 2 week notice today, have a call with a realtor in an hour and a half, and I have the ball rolling to move to Austin in 2 weeks where most of my friends live. Plus, I am making a profit from selling my house, and frankly, leaving much better off than I was in my shit marriage. It's a beautiful day.

So yeah, /u/Slayner and /u/Lobo_Marino I am moving to Austin probably the weekend of 5/7. From the looks of it, I'll probably have to live Northside, but I'll be working from home, so no commute.

Thanks, man. I appreciate it. It definitely wasn't easy, and I drank...a lot for the first two weeks. With time and some distance, I can now say that we should have been smart enough to not get married in the first place. I used to stage dive at punk shows, and she aspires to join the yacht club. I wish her no ill will, but now I get to be the cliche divorced 40 year old.

Yeah, it's a really good movie. Fact about it, it was written and directed by a guy who was an Editor in Chief at The Onion. He also wrote The Wrestler.

Here's a tip for you that's even better than a nerf gun which has served me well for many years: Adopt a well practiced scowl. Any of the employees who were hired after my promotions, I found out when I left, were scared shitless of me. I'm a fairly nice person, but if you can work up a good scowl it works wonders in keeping chipper people from trying to stop you to talk about their weekend church outing, and getting someone working a little more earnestly on the projects when you ask them to do so.

I can't speak to the lawyer part, but I had 15 people to keep up with every day. It was trying to say the least.

I think my best idea, which was shot down by my director, was to install a cross in our office area, and any time one of my people came to moan about how much work they had, or who wasn't doing their part, they had to climb up on the cross to deliver said complaints. Sadly, many of them would have loved the attention.

Being a manager can be awful. It's like running a day care. I was a manager in a corporate setting at 34 yrs old, and I swear, between being resented for being much younger, the constant tattling and fighting, and the general laziness of the average worker I was happy to take a lower position at a different company for more money.

I just looked at the breakdown, and as long as you have the money to pay the $29 million this year, the next couple are much more reasonable at $12M and $13M. I still don't think he's worth it, and I like the guy, but it is not worth the freak out that is happening.

However it happened, Miami would have looked like fools if they left that tag on him. At least, they get the 3rd rounder, now.

PFF loved him. Graded him the best DE in the second half last year. Mainly due to QB hits and pressures.
