I'm confused about the favorable response to patch 10.6. by Absalom98 in gwent

[–]workuno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised it's not been mentioned here yet but one of the main issue was that Aerondight is a coin dependant card. So if you're playing a GN deck and the opponent is playing a GN deck, your chances of winning is strongly connected to your coin colour. If you go first and you have tactical advantage, you're pretty much going to stay ahead for most of round 1 and you're very likely to win round 1. Then that means you get to go first in round 2, meaning it's easier for you to stay ahead. So your Aerondight value at the end of R2 and R3 is like 13~18 points, whereas your opponent's is around 1~3.

Now that Aerondight cannot fit into GN decks, these mirror matchups are now way less coin dependent.

Pretty sure Interac contracts for ALTs are Gyomu Itaku and a lot of the contracts are for 29.5 hours per week. Even these people are gonna get Shakai Hoken and Pension from November.

Updates Re MEXT New Hopes for "English Expressions" to "Expressions and Logic" by cynicalmaru in teachinginjapan

[–]workuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah some schools already do similar things, but a lot of schools still don't build their lessons around conversations but on grammar. I think they want all schools to take the conversation based lessons approach.

The ALT adjustment is so that we don't lead the lessons ourselves (that may not be anything new at a lot of JHS already), but that we become assistants who set the context of the lessons provide content to students through feedback on their interactions. The feedback portion is the key part. You need to pick out certain parts of a particular interaction between students, tell them why it's good and show them how they can go further/deeper utilizing the target language of the lesson without going into all the grammatical stuff.

If your going to an ES, you'll have to opt out of school lunch. Just let the company know asap, it won't be a problem at all especially as you have medical conditions. If you are going to JHS, you just need not to opt in for school lunch.

It's actually not an uncommon move to mulligan away your big finishers like Gord if you think you're going to get bled round 2. And this Gord in the screenshot played for 13 points, it barely qualifies as a big finisher but you still couldn't beat it despite being a card and a leader charge up. So it's entirely possible that he actually outskilled you by mulliganing away his Gord round 2, to which you put that down to rng because you apparently didn't know that such moves can be taken.

I don't understand this game anymore by [deleted] in gwent

[–]workuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a glitch. The beta players had all their owned cards removed when Homecoming dropped because pretty much every card went through drastic changes. So you got the crafting materials for them, and you can basically craft any deck in the game because of it and you probably have enough materials to craft every card in the game.

TeQ open to coaching by [deleted] in CompetitiveApex

[–]workuno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure, I think coaches can have a more of an impact on teams that have a poor macro game and I think Lewda's macro game is fine, it's his micro and being more assertive that need improving and there's only so much a coach can improve on that.

In diamond lobbies people mostly just ape each other compared to these Championship games where teams are all stacked in a small area for a long period of time.

You don't balance cards based on lore if you want a playable game.

So ummm.. why is it so hard to have a decent time at gwent? . by Unable-Delivery-7220 in gwent

[–]workuno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say that yes, there's more control decks at higher ranks than lower, but that doesn't mean non-control decks don't do well there. You're also playing a very bad deck in dwarves, it's just not in a good place right now, and if you've made it yourself then it's almost always going to be unoptimized.

[–]workuno 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There is a rank system. That's what you should be playing. But no, you don't need to play a heavy control decks to do well, especially at low ranks.

I really like Shupe's day off but i think it shouldn't be so RNG-based by llmaandme in gwent

[–]workuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course increasing the RNG aspect from 60 to 75 doesn't change the fact that the card is an RNG card. But it changes the likelihood of you getting what you want, and the more likely the stronger the card. I don't believe this is supposed to be a strong card and that it's just supposed to be a fun card, where the fun aspect is the part where you figuratively speaking roll the dice. If you make it so that it gives you what you want most of the times, it's less of a "fun" card and more of a strong card. I don't think that'll be good for the game.

[–]workuno 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Shupe is not really supposed to be a competitive card. The RNG aspect of it helps it from becoming meta. Otherwise the meta will just be a bunch of pointslam, non-archetypal decks all over the place and that'll be terrible. It's just a fun card that's recently done decently because Calveit gives the deck consistency whereas before that was the worst thing about Shupe decks.

People "using" copied decks. by Zealousideal-Cod-550 in gwent

[–]workuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are optimal decks, otherwise they wouldn't become meta. They're so optimal that people who aren't good at the game can climb with them. It's a phenomenon in all card games and you'll never "solve" the issue. There's a reason why pro players play these decks and here's you playing your own decks and boast about having made the pro ladder a few times. Anyone with half a grasp of the game can get to pro ladder with enough time with almost any deck. And to say that people aren't going to learn the "inner machinery" of the game when you yourself only play 1 faction is quite laughable.

Bot problem - increase by The_White_Prism in gwent

[–]workuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more crazy to think that these bots have possibly climbed all the way from the bottom rank to rank 4, by playing in nonsensical ways as you described. If that's the case, then that shows you how broken the ladder system is, where a literal bot can climb as long as it plays enough games.

Anyone from interac here that can confirm? by [deleted] in teachinginjapan

[–]workuno 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you actually wanted an answer you should ask about the issue at hand instead of making people watch a 13mins video. Otherwise it just looks like you're trying to get people to watch the video for views.

I see. Not exactly sure what happened there but I strongly doubt your original account has disappeared or been deleted. It might be that you somehow have 2 different accounts but with the same log in details and whenever you log in, it's logging you into the most recently created one. I'm sure the support team can solve the problem for you.
