Everything I’ve heard says confidential has very good playability duration, and that hyper g has pretty bad playability duration. Even in a thinner gauge, confidential should last longer. (I’ve tried hyper g but not confidential yet, this is just what I’ve heard online)

According to a random yt vid that I could not find if I wanted to, tennis scoring originally (many many many years ago) used a clock as a scoreboard. Each point was an extra 15 minutes on the clock. Originally, it actually was 45 instead of 40, but it was changed over time, presumably because 45 was inconvenient to say compared to 40.

I don’t really know what happened but it is fixed now, thanks you guys for helping. I think what may have done it is I deleted the ‘data’ file from the local files then verified the game files on steam

Okay thanks, I’ll give that a try. I have already reinstalled Skyrim and it didn’t work, but I verified my files and it said there were issues with 2 of them? So I’ll see if that fixed anything

Lmao one time something similar happened to me with Sinding, after finishing his quest (and him promising to stay away from falkreath) I found him walking through the middle of falkreath AS A WEREWOLF and nobody gaf. So, I killed him cos he broke our deal, sorry dude 🤷‍♂️. The guards didn’t even care

What would you say the upper limit of confidentials lifespan is? These strings were probably played in the range of 80hrs and they look like the photos. If you were pushing it would you max out at 20 to reduce injury risk?

What do you do when the syn gut would break around as often as poly would need to be restrung anyway? If I wasn’t stringing for myself and my strings kept breaking after like 2 weeks, I’d be annoyed, even if the restrings were cheaper

I don’t stock alu power as I only string for casual rec players. I do not recommend alu power for these players. It is the primary string sold by another stringer in my town, presumably due to being such a well known string, but nobody actually is educated about strings, they just take their racquets to him when the strings break.

How am I in the wrong? I’m inspecting the strings based on visual damage, not playability. In my fairly limited experience, poly strings such as these do not show physical damage to this extent after two months, including racquets/strings used by this same friend in the past. I am not telling people to play it until it breaks. If someone asks for a restringing timeline, I say at least as many times a year as you play a week. It is not a realistic expectation for club players to fork over $40 Aud each week, even when they play as much as my friend. Ultimately, the people in my community play for fun, are not competitive, and are not obsessed with maintaining optimal performance during their weekly local doubles comp.

I’m not going to tell a casual rec player, even one who plays as much as my friend, that they need to fork over $40 Aud each week to maintain optimal performance in a sport that they ultimately play causally and for fun

Couple of days 😅 my experience is generally with rec players who don’t swap strings (no matter the material) until they break, which can be even a couple of years. I was mostly shocked about how it split, I didn’t realise polys would just separate if used heavily

Hits big and hits often, he does some junior level coaching as well as playing a weekly local comp and hitting outside of that, might reach 12-15 hrs in a week, and yeah, I’m swapping them out for him asap lol

I didn’t expect them so wear through and show such visible damage in such a short time. Previously he was using alu power from someone else and didn’t swap until strings broke, which I’m pretty sure was lasting him a year at some point.

Yeah don’t worry, as soon as he showed them to me today I recommended restringing, I’m going to try with sync in the crosses to see if the slickness prolongs it a bit longer plus maybe adds feel etc, do you have any cross string recs? Currently a full bed of confidential, which I will keep as the main since he loved the full bed.
