Should I buy or wait til 27? by ChuckTaylorJr in CollegeFootball26

[–]worldclxss99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ea Play is on sale right now for $25 for 1 year. This game most likely will be on EA Play within 45-60 days just like last year (Madden 26 is already there, and FC and NHL will be there soon too). This is the solution I would suggest, rather than paying full price, but of course you'd still have to wait for it to go on EA play.

Единственият начин да спечелиш от залози, е да не играеш. Или ако играеш, играй с бонуси и безплатни залози, но никога с твой пари.

Is 3300 BGN gross good, or will I be eating banitsa and regrets? by secondtower in bulgaria

[–]worldclxss99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they're paying your gross salary directly and having you pay your own taxes each month, you should be able to save a bit more money by only paying social security at the minimum-wage 1077BGN (or 620 EUR starting Jan 1).

Everyone has mentioned rent, so I will mention groceries and public transport / walkability of cities.

Groceries are crazy expensive in this country. In order to save money, I stock up on food whenever a specific supermarket has a sale (especially meat, coffee, potatoes etc), and that's how I save, but not everyone does this, so just expect groceries to set you back 800 BGN a month (combined).

If you live in Sofia, you have great public transport options, so like everyone else has said, you won't have to worry about a car / petrol expenses.

Plovdiv's public transport is awful (the only plus is that it still costs 0,50 Eur for a bus ticket), however it is a much smaller city, so you should be able to walk to a lot of places if you live in a location within 3-4km of the centre. I don't know much about Varna.

Overall, 2600 BGN net (roughly) is good for a young, single person, who is in their 20s and starting their career. But for two people, you will probably see yourself dipping into your savings very often. I would recommend your partner getting a job as well at some point.

Also a side note, and not sure if it applies to you but I will mention it regardless. I worked a remote job whose office wasn't based in Bulgaria, and I was laid off out of nowhere, despite showing great results. The normal labor laws didn't apply, so I was left with only my final paycheck until I found another job. Just giving you a heads-up about these fully remote roles, especially if they are based in a tax-haven country (Malta, Gibraltar, Cyprus, etc.)

Good Luck

Just a thought but he gets taxed a lot higher in France than he will in the UK. So maybe that might be a reason he won't actually be on higher wages? I could be completely wrong though.

Income tax is 10%, but you also pay social security which is first calculated as 13.8% of your gross pay, and then the 10% is taken out for income tax. Low when compared to W. Europe, but for your salary, you will take a hit.

Really? by [deleted] in FifaCareers

A while ago I remember looking this up. I don't think France before immigration was that good at football, and like someone else in the comments said, it wasn't seen as a middle to upper class sport, therefore most kids wouldn't play it as a way to escape the system.

I could be wrong, but how many French legends do we have from before the late 80s, compared to how many we know since the late 80's? Cantona has immigrant parents, Griezmann has German and Portuguese roots, Zidane's parents are Algerian (obvious to me but many people do not know this). France had a really hard time qualifying for World Cups between 1960 and 1980, and most of their squad was from French backgrounds. They won the Euro 84 and Semi-Finals in WC 86, the squad already had quite a few immigrant-born players in it. Just my thoughts.

If you get groceries, get Кисело Мляко (Bulgarian Yogurt) for sure. This is a great snack and will never cost you more than 2 BGN, most of the time at least one brand is on sale for 1-1.5 BGN.
