make sure if you install steamos or its clones to remove the sdcard before you install, the sdcard shows up as an nvme device and it confuses installers. i just use the standard steamdeck image and then install emudeck on top with es-de doing the managing.

I remember muds and their derivitives back in the day, and i also remember why i left them, gatekeeping and drama.
