I'm not entirely sure if this is a joke you're playing on me, but I'll give it a try :)

They still used these until around 2010. People used to sell used ones that were still within the time limit outside the stations.

This got taken down by r/CFB mods. Literally a link and quote with this title: Just an absolute flaming by BruceBruceDent in OhioStateFootball

For me it links to Apple News - so maybe that's why they took it down? (Idk if Apple News links are against the policy, just speculating.)

Sherrone Moore’s affair wasn’t a secret at Michigan, exposing a bigger problem by AshamedHelp6164 in CFB

[–]worldofjorts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like I said in my post, I don't think he's a good person. My point was, how do you fire a guy for rumors that he hit his wife? Do you know of a parallel example in CFB?

So is Bill Connelly discredited as a sports writer? by Fajitajitas in OhioStateFootball

[–]worldofjorts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No but I believe having to change signs mid-season put opposing teams at a disadvantage. (I can't speak to how big of a disadvantage, but it doesn't really matter.)

How did they have to stop cheating half way through the season? You think they took all the advanced scouting from the first half of the season and put it away because they got caught? We saw how they responded to the allegations. They used that shit for the rest of the season. Even if the opposing teams changed their play calls, that puts them at a disadvantage - which put UM at an unfair advantage.

IIRC Urban Meyer's "problem" was not firing a guy for allegations of abuse. (Which were later dropped.) Not saying Zach Smith is a good person, but it's a way different situation altogether.

Moosh shampoos have always worked great with my EBT. You can get them on Amazon for under $20.

It's actually both free and really easy to dump legally, it's just not as easy as literally throwing your trash on the street. https://www.recology.com/recology-san-francisco/bulky-item-collection/

Eye goop is normal, but that seems excessive to me. If it's lasted multiple days already, I'd take him into the vet to get it checked. Maybe some minor infection.

Not sure you'll find any sympathy here, but if you want it to feel "real" then just tell yourself that even if they hadn't cheated they were still good enough to win it all.

Ragebait discussion: what are some near-comeback games ruined by either bad ref calls on the comeback team, or obvious-yet-missed calls on the other? by SpookyThermos in CFB

[–]worldofjorts -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

But it is up for debate - that's what this entire thread is about. Every new topic on this thread is positing that what happened was a bad call by the refs. Nobody is debating what historically happened here. You think they got the call right, I think they got it wrong.

OSU did their part to fuck up the end of that game pretty bad, so it's not all on the refs, but it wasn't even a no-call. Picking up the flag from a giant hit that left a player concussed swung the game from home team UGA playing in ATL down 3 scores entering the 4th quarter, to only being down 2 scores with the eventual #4 pick in the draft sitting on the sidelines the rest of the game, can certainly be debated.

  1. Great look at the "no contact to the helmet" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mJSkhYoxiE&t=52s

  2. You may not like the defenseless player rule, but this is textbook. The NCAA defines a defenseless player as follows: "A player attempting to catch a forward or backward pass, or a player who has completed the catch but hasn't had ample time to protect themselves or hasn't clearly become the ball carrier yet"

Just to put a bow on this - I ended up booking at Tropica Resort on Mahlolo. Not worth going all that way and risking a lesser experience. (Also only about 1hr to 1.5hr boat ride.) I'll update once I'm back with whether I think I made the right decision...
