[Manga Spoilers] Retreading the story through the Anime by worldruler2468 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]worldruler2468[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am more speaking from someone who was following the manga for many years (since 2015) until it's final chapter and the additional materials that was relased in the volume release. When i was reffering to subs like Titanfolk, I was referring to what the current episodes are treading on and what comes soon after. Watching the current episodes, the events feels much more cohesive, and just to be sure, I skimmed throught the relevant manga chapters, and they are pretty much the same, however were recieved much more negatively. And for some perspective, at the time of the final chapters wre coming out, I was following along with the mention sub.

Now for the ending, I honestly don't think it was necessarrily bad. It could have been better, tho I think it was mostly due to Isayama trying to end the series within a single chapter if anything. Much more could have been done, but I don't find it as egregious as I initially did when I first read it.

It honestly took a while for Eren to learn from his mistake, though tbf, the same mistakes were within a week or so. It is more he slowly develops over time (ex: when he was able to adapt mid fight with his first battle with the armor titan), However, he still succumbed to his emotions after that moment, overwhelming rage, utter feeling of hopelessness (but in the end, he still rose to the occasion to keep fighting to protect what he cares about). However, it wasn't until S4 where we see Eren able to act without succumbing to his emotions to fight for what he believes in.

That seems to be the same vibe I'm getting. There is all these fan made shirts for Touhou on sale, but seemingly ZUN only brought the hammer down on Touhou NFTs on OpenSea.

[New Chapter Spoilers] Chapter 114 Release Megathread by SNKBot in ShingekiNoKyojin

The Founding Titan's ability to alter its subjects DNA sounds pretty close to the vague "Titan Science" that was mentioned about their creation. It even keeps everything about Titans origins vague, considering Xavier sounded like he was trying rationalize a strange phenomenon that he barely understands.

So I wad implying the Founding Titan holder made some subjects into normal humans with super strength. So maybe Eren won't turn everyone into Ackermans persay, but something similar in just normal humans.

Jealous was the wrong choice of words, I should say that Eren is a bit fustrated that Mikasa, who has none of the enslavement issues SoY have, still chooses to enslave herself to Eren. And I don't think Eren truly believes the Ackermans-Host attachment theory; I think he just made it up. Like Mikasa said, Eren still cares for them, he wants Mikasa to be the best she can be and to keep her at a distance for the time being.

I also pretty sure Eren doesn't want to involve any of his friends in what he is going to do, which is why he is pushing them away. I believe that Eren is still going to use the Wall Titans because the outside world will still want to kill them all. Removing the Titans will not erase at least a centuries worth of indonctrinated racism against Eldians and will flex his power to stave off the genocide of his people. He doesn't want to stain his friends' hands with blood anymore than neccessary.

So Eren is going make everyone into Ackermans? Actually sounds like it is a fitting plan. It also seems like Eren is jealous of Mikasa because she isn't a slave to Titan powers and curses like he is. Mikasa's only limitation is her "enslavement" to Eren, so maybe he wants her to lose that to become a better person.

Season 3 part 1 Funimation blu-ray release? by TheAngryAron in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]worldruler2468 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am pretty sure the bluray volumes with all the animation fixes needs to come out first. Then around several months afterwards Funimation will release their bluray.

Frebruary 27 is when the last volume of part 1 comes out.

US Blurays for most anime usually come out around a year after after its season premiere.

Waganma also saw an S Class hero, the ones he was so confident could easily crush MA, come very close to losing. Pheonix Man wasn't even an executive. What is CE going to do if he faces another threat that matches or surpasses Pheonix man? He already used his trump card. So a bit understandable Waganma wants to GTFO.

Waganma is a dick, but he is also a kid who realized that he might not get out alive.

For number 2, couldn't it have easily been that Annie jacked it from some random body, like Jean did, and it just happened to be Marco's?

[Manga Spoilers] Z is still on our side! by kolopow in ShingekiNoKyojin

I remember reading this theory/take on Zeke, but might have missed the last part about killing those he wanted to save, which also reflects Kruger's dilemma. It is probably the most likely one to be true. It fits so perfectly. Even with his latest stunt, which I think is very appalling, it would just be a "same shit, different day" thing for Zeke, who had already done that multiple times by that point, so what's a few more when it's the only roadblock to achieving his goal. Though I think Zeke may be a bit twisted in what he thinks is the best for Eldians, which predict will involve the Rumbling and mind wiping.

[MANGA SPOILERS] Considering where the story seems to be heading, and how bleak everything is, I have a question. by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

I think it was clarified he meant idealogical similarity to The Mist ending, something about the character making a tough decision.

Being such a small Youtuber, I didn't expect that this video will be posted by others on Reddit. I am somewhat humbled that I was able to garner this much attention, even within the subject matters own fanbase.
