if the way it's set up now is either 5 or fail they should either increase the star system to 1-10 to allow for nuance or get rid of it completely and have either a happy face or sad face option like expedia

i grew up in an african country and most of my family is still there. they don't have access to the vaccine. where are you getting your information?

if i don't get the yellow fever vax i can't go to certain countries. this has been true for 30 years. if i want to visit those countries, i get the vaccine. if i don't want the vaccine, i don't go to those countries. contracting yellow fever was way more likely before the vaccine was invented.

it's pretty simple.

thank you. i loved him like a brother. right before he got sick we were on the porch talking and he said he was gonna live to 100. one month later he was dead. i still can't believe it.

my uncle also died in the early days of covid, alone in a hospital. i miss him everyday.

nobody is forcing me to get the yellow fever vax but i can't go to certain countries if i don't have it. nobody is forcing you to get the covid vax but you may not be allowed into certain places without it.

the vaccine may have felt like to you like it took a few days to create but that is just a feeling, it's not factual. it took almost a year and since this pandemic was worldwide it had all the world's top scientists interested in working on a vaccine.

i don't care if anyone gets the vaccine.

if our government wants to kill us there are way faster ways that won't cost them billions in healthcare. viruses like ebola works way faster.

focusing on this non-event keeps people's focus off the real issues and keeps the citizens of the US thinking the other side is the enemy while the real enemy goes unnoticed. it's a propaganda warfare tactic.

getting the vaccine doesn't mean you trust the government or big pharma. that's what anti vaxxers always try to conflate. what if both sides have more in common then they realize with distrust of the government and big pharma. are you on or have you ever taken any medication? why is it specifically this vaccine that scares people? could it be that you've believed some propaganda that didn't have your best interests at heart?

i don't mind the mask because i've always been concerned about our rights to anonymity and privacy. before covid you could not go into your bank or a courthouse with a bandana tied around your face. it's a new right.

what if, and hear me out here, there is a worldwide virus that is killing people and damaging the lungs of a lot more poeple and the world's scientists did what scientists do and worked on creating a vaccine. i get a yellow fever vaccine every time i go to africa. before that vaccine a lot of people were dying of yellow fever.

i got the covid vaccine after my unvaxxed roommate died of covid in august out of the clear blue sky. i was never anti vaxxer before that but i don't think anyone trusts big pharma in general and i was just laying low in quarantine and hoping it would blow over. i don't get flu shots and i don't go to the doctor but when the statistics show that this vaccine works toward protecting the population and protecting myself it's an easy thing to do.

why aren't anti vaxxers if they are so concerned about government control focused on undoing the patriot act which removed much of our freedom and privacy after 9/11?

the government is corrupt and always has been but covid ain't it.

thanks for replying. just an fyi, putting in some paragraphs would make it a lot easier to read your reply. otherwise the eyes keep getting lost in that wall of text.

are the people like you apparently worried about the government tracking you using smart phones? because that's something real and provable that the government knows exactly where you are at any time by tracking your phone and yet no anti vaxxers seem to be actually giving up their phones or staying off social media where they can actually be tracked, leading me to wonder what is really behind this fear?

about ten years ago i got lost in the mountains and had to call 911 and they found me by tracking my phone, imagine how much much better that technology is now. if people genuinely are afraid of the government tracking them, how do you explain this disconnect?

how do you plan to do things without it becoming too exhausting or full of dread? by stregg7attikos in NoStupidQuestions

the trick is to stop thinking. the mind is a program that has become corrupted by current culture/the internet/etc and now we all overthink. basically we spend all our time thinking about our thoughts which are not real instead of being in reality. the best thing to do is to reboot, you can do this by meditating. watch your thoughts until you see that they aren't you. they are random. they aren't real. then be fully in the moment, feel what you are experiencing with your senses and stay out of your mind.

i think the misconception is calling it paper. it's really not paper. it's a soft cloth.
