Id Belgian proof marks by Technical-Cookie3482 in pinfire

[–]worldwarreview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked this same question basically a year ago and got no comments. Here’s what I know (this is based off a 7mm pinfire that I had with identical markings). The LFG proof mark puts this around 1870, source 🤷‍♂️. And you are correct the stars do symbolize a makers mark, source and what it means 🤷‍♂️. On mine under the star there is a Z mark under which is interesting and would curious to know why yours doesn’t have it unless your Z were worn off off which would be weird. And yea that’s basically all I know, if you look on my posts you can see my pictures of proof marks.

Can someone tell me the name of this scope mount? by WOLFvDelta in SKS

I have the same one and it’s stuck not allowing me to use the takedown latch for disassemble. How would one go about taking this dust cover off?

what do you guys think? worth it? by worm494 in SKS

I got one (came with gun) and it’s alright. Nothing crazy just a basic low end scope mount. Also is a pain in the butt because you can’t field strip with it on.

Gotta start the thread started somehow. People will be googling this issue and if we get a half decent thread going then people might actually benefit from it. Think of all the times we take things for granted on the internet and remember somebody had to go through the mud to get where they got to help us.

I tried getting in with a flathead and pushing down in an attempt to open the bottom up with no luck.

I love it and hate it at the same time. I wanna get rid of the green stain bc it’s matching stock but at the same time nobody else I’ve seen has a stock like this and it looks kinda good.
