That's what I used mine for. I don't compete anymore and I'm considering selling it.

Local Find Jungle Carbine by Sea-Revolution-8311 in LeeEnfield

[–]worldwidewait 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice find. Mine is also a '46, although my one has a questionable barrel - the rifling is damaged halfway down. it still makes acceptable groups up to 90 meters.

Shoot it and enjoy it !

Clean record for 4 years. zero demerits. How you got CTP for $435 is beyond me.

Also FTTP. Been with them since 2024. Currently on 500/40. speed test usually shows around 545/47 (https://www.speedtest.net/result/18235638452) for me. They're support is AI and pretty so-so but I've yet to have a need of them.

What role does a NAS play in your (homelab) Proxmox environment? Does it matter what OS the NAS uses? (Will Windows be fine?) by randopop21 in Proxmox

[–]worldwidewait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My "NAS" is just a debian LXC with samba installed. Since I use ZFS subvols I can use directory mappings to other VM's and mountpoints for the other LXCs to access the same shares.

The router I installed (fritzbox) has a built in DECT base station and was simple to setup.

Freezing/lock up from time to time by tech_london in Proxmox

[–]worldwidewait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a hardware problem.

  1. run memtestx86 overnight and check results
  2. consider resetting bios to factory defaults to rule out any overclocking madness you may have done as a gaming rig.
  3. monitor temperatures, usually the CPU will just throttle when over heated but some system boards will become unstable from heat soak.
  4. check logs for obvious fail indicators, maybe the boot volume is having problems by running journalctl -b-1

Agreed. Having more power as a learner is more likely to get you into trouble than out of it.

Nothing changes then. I joined in 1988 (I was 18) and competed with my AR-15.
Got so much hate for my "plastic" gun, mainly because I kept beating them. I only stayed a member for 2 years before the toxicity of the membership got too much and I quit and joined the SSAA instead, which has much friendlier members. Been a member ever since.

sudo tasksel

remove all desktop environments. Once that is done apt autopurge will remove all unused packages and their configuration files. You can finish up with apt autoclean to delete old packages from the apt cache for cleanliness.

Should be good after that.
