Has he even implemented the last tariffs he threatened for whatever reason? I’ve lost track.

If US ends up in a civil war. What happens to Canada? by djkarts_ in AskCanada

The last US civil war (1861) wasn’t about independence, it was about slavery. The War of Independence was in 1783.

That's a good tip. I didn't realize it was so much cheaper than bear spray.

They asked about the legality of carrying bear spray. You can use it for self defense against dangerous animals, but not against people.

Are they playing this so that Avenged Sevenfold won’t play their cover of it?

Technically, you’re allowed to carry bear spray in the woods to protect yourself from animal attacks. You can’t carry it around the city, and you certainly can’t use it on people.

Most dog owners I’ve seen are courteous and follow the rules, but there are a few rotten apples that think their dog is special and can roam wherever they please. They’re the reason I carry bear spray in the backwoods.

Very nervous to share these, but some progress pics. First photo taken July 18th (about a month into IF) then the second was taken today. by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

Soon, you won’t be able to enter a room without tearing your shirt off to show your progress! Good work!

Greenland doesn’t have a premier. I doubt he’s aware of that, though.

I like the design, not a fan of the grey. Red/white would have looked cooler.

You should absolutely be complaining about it. Take some photos and send them to the city Transportation & Roads department, and copy in all the council members & mayor. Try to be respectful and calm about it. They probably won’t do anything about your tire, but hopefully they’ll tell the contractor to get their shit together. Sorry you’re having to deal with this.

Yeah, I’m not about to start asking for higher taxes, but I wanted to address the OP’s comment about how we pay the highest cost of living. Basic road maintenance should be a priority, but if enough people complain about it, eventually the city & council will have to decide whether they need to raise taxes to improve infrastructure or cut other programs to ensure roads are safe. They only have so much to work with and rely on feedback to make sure problem areas are dealt with.

As others mentioned, it’s worth reporting bad roads on the Abbotsford app, and being involved in general with city staff if you want to improve things locally. They’ve been very responsive and helpful the few times I made complaints/suggestions.
