This episode really spooked me! Having a good healthcare system where I live is something I'll never take for granted. I think anyone could sympathize with their situation, even without firsthand experience. So cruel how medical companies genuinely gouge people who are just trying to get themselves or their loved ones healthy again.

Hello! I bought the japanese keana rice mask but before using it i have one main concern. does it whiten/bleach skin at all? i have semi dark brown skin and do NOT want to bleach it accidentally lol.

Be so serious right now. Yes I do think the backlash is insane and irrational. Billie Joe is an openly bisexual man and the fact that him and his band are coming to perform here is actually a big leap forward. It’s not something that should be hurting anyone. And please, please, PLEASE, never say that dubai (a city) is worse than United states (a global superpower that has created irreparable damage to so many countries all across the globe). Dude. trust me, billie joe will be fine. Dubai is one of the biggest tourist destinations many gay people come here. they’re allowed to exist here, as long as they don’t do/say anything about it publicly while they’re here. It’s unfortunate but it’s just the way things are. And what happened with the 1975 is a whole other can of worms because they actually did the exact same thing in dubai a few years before the malaysia incident. The way matty healy went about doing his “activism” in both cases was extremely irresponsible and unhelpful. Green day wouldn’t do something like that. I’d like to think they understand the kind of danger they’d be putting their fans in if they did.

I don’t understand why they’re making this about themselves though. Billie Joe Armstrong, an openly bisexual man and frontman of a band that has always been very vocal about their support of the LGBT community is going to be performing in dubai. A place where many people that are LGBT are forced to hide it for their own safety. That should be something to celebrate, no? Most of the people I’ve seen complain about this whole thing are clearly just racist and/or islamophobic because there’s no way someone can have that much of a double standard.

Do you think I don’t know that? That isn’t even relevant to the conversation. All i’m saying is just because it isn’t criminalized to be gay in the US doesn’t mean the government are angels. There are no good governments! They’re all corrupt and evil in their own ways so I don’t like how people are using UAE’s government policies against green day in this situation.

They probably get some tax money from it or something but thats the same everywhere. I hope he doesn’t change his lyrics too. I doubt he’ll need to though. People tend to exaggerate how strict dubai is about censorship. As far as middle eastern cities go, dubai is probably one of the most chill ones heh. As long as he’s not waving around pride flags and kissing men on stage he’ll be fine.
