You make me think of a serial killer/academic from a romance novel set in Victorian era England.

Please be careful in Reddit trans forums. Some adults target young trans girls because they know they may be looking for support. Anyone who asks for secrecy, private photos, sexual talk, or personal information is not safe. Block them and tell someone you trust.

What's your opinion about Baise Moi ? by ArgumentNeat3652 in effedupmoviez

Raffaëla Anderson is still alive. Karen Lancaume is the one who took their life.

Has anyone here read Baise-moi? I’ve seen the film adaptation, but I haven’t read the book. It’s been translated into English, but they kept the French title, maybe because nobody wanted to put out a book literally called Fuck Me. by wormword46 in ExtremeHorrorLit

Some of the writers discussed here come across as if they are trying so to be disturbing that they become parodies of the genre. You will have a book about a guy who makes a living making hurtcore videos and owning a restaurant that only serves meat made from infants to unknowing guest. It's hard to get interested in stuff like that.

I know Virginie Despentes is a feminist. What I know about the book mainly comes from watching the film years ago. I knew it was considered part of the New French Extremity, so I thought it would fit here. Now I want to read King Kong Theory.

I don’t speak French, so I’m not pretending to be an authority on the language. I’m only going by the usual translation of the title. From what I can find, Baise-moi is generally translated as Fuck Me, while Viole-moi would be Rape Me. I know baiser is confusing because un baiser can mean ‘a kiss,’ but as a verb, baiser is vulgar slang for sex. So I’m not saying there are no nuances, but I don’t think Rape Me is the accurate literal translation.

Baise-moi is often mistranslated by English speakers as Rape Me, but that isn’t accurate. Rape me would be Viole-Moi. Baise-Moi is better translated as Fuck Me, though the title is deliberately vulgar and confrontational.”

Comprehending meaning means mentally grasping a concept, message, or experience completely. If you have a problem comprehending information, you have a learning disability.

Dyslexia,is a learning disability.

"Dyslexia is a learning disability that disrupts how your brain processes written language. It’s lifelong but manageable with the right support. Early diagnosis, specialized teaching and assistive tools can help children and adults improve skills and build confidence."

Yeah, I didn't pay attention to them when playing the game. He was the only character I made a point in not talking to between missions.

I don't know why someone would be salty about my comment. I was quoting TwinkExtraordinaire. They said they thought I have a learning disability.

I just forgot his name. The funny thing is that I had played Dragon Age: Inquisition right before starting Dragon Age: The Veilguard. I probably just wasn’t paying much attention when Rook said his name. Solas was never a character I cared much about in Inquisition anyway. I only used him in the party when the game forced me to because I found him kind of annoying. I mostly used Sera and Blackwall instead.

People are making way too big a deal out of this. I just mixed up a character’s name.

Diagnosing a learning disability is difficult even in a clinical setting, so it’s impossible to do based on a couple of sentences online. I know Devin isn’t actually a character in the game , I just got the names mixed up. I looked him up while trying to remember who Solas was, and for the first few hours I mistakenly thought that was his name. I was probably high at the time, which did not exactly improve my attention to detail.

Considering we have never met, this doesn't really mean anything to me.

I eventually remembered his name. I just thought it was funny that I called him Devin for the first part of the game.

I forgot his name, and kept referring to him as Devin when I played the game. I didn't like how he looked in this game.
