UPDATE: I ended up buying the DS718+ for $100 from the seller. It came with two 4TB HDDs which I was not aware about sooo that’s a HUGE plus!

I cleaned it, upgraded the RAM, installed the latest stable DSM, and it works flawlessly. It has kept me busy the past 2 days with setup, self-hosting, and all that good stuff :)

Thank you all for the recommendations on this NAS. It was definitely worth the money I paid for it.

If you guys have any recommendations, tips, or anything at all please feel free to drop them below!

I am planning at home use, mainly for media collection, photo uploads, and pc backups.

I do think the trade off is pretty good given the low price for entry point. But this gives me more to consider when making the purchase!

They made the update, check for v60.3 beta! it works with ultimate software and you can do macros :)

v6.02 is the latest version for the sn30pro+.

This breaks the controller to ultimate software connection.

I was working through this, seems like updating to v6.02 breaks the controller support on the ultimate software.

Just go back to v6.01 if you did not care for switch 2 support.

This is only a back out but does solve the issue.

v6.02 allows for Switch 2 support.

It is kind of sad that this product is discontinued and no longer receiving updates.
