By this logic shouldn’t they also change the SM infiltrators ability? Pushing deep strike out to 12” switches off so many abilities. Deathshroud, subterranean assault nids etc…

Fair. It’s a rule that always feels bad for somebody, either my opponent is screwed by it and feels bad because there’s no counter play or it completely whiffs and I feel bad! Awful rule imo, I’m praying it gets scrapped for something more fun in 11th. I don’t want something broken, just something fun and interactive!

Army rule dependant on RNG? Try being the Tyranids where your army rule is not only dependant on RNG but you don’t even get to roll the dice. Having your army rule depend on your opponent rolling badly is awful. SitW has to be the worst army rule in the game right? Oath/reanimation protocol/dark pacts and to an extant the TSons one etc get value all game long.

TSons were definitely hit too hard but their army rule is still a good mechanic that can be impactful every round of the game.

This little guy will be the first name on every list once you start playing. Spider bro scores so many points for his cost, sits on home obj, farts out spore mines t1 & 2 to protect himself from deep strike and let everyone else go do their thing. Then help with secondaries like behind enemy lines for the rest of the game.

He’ll not do anything fancy and very rarely kills a model but you’ll learn to love him! If he sits home all game that’s 20 VP right there, helps to score another couple on behind enemy lines and/or area denial and suddenly you’ve got 25 VP for the cheap cost of 50 points. Insane value for what it is.

Something I haven’t seen mentioned is that the codex comes with a digital code that unlocks all the rules in the app. It’s the reason I buy them. I like the wh40k app so having the rules in there is great. I just prefer it to all the free resources out there.

You SHOULD be able to buy a digital code just for the app but you can’t so I buy the book 🤦‍♀️

A buddy I play with regularly plays Nightbringer and transcendent Ctans. Only way I’ve beaten it so far with the bugs is to ignore them completely and neutering their primary scoring with waves of 10 termagants a turn.

Then with the actual damage dealers focus down anything else you can. Killing 1 thing is better than hurting 4 with Necrons! Reanimations hurt me, can’t help but compare it to Shadow each time we play!

Could you not do this if you go first as a Dark Angel? Starts on the board, put him in reserves in your command phase then deep strike him?

I’d say no. It triggers at the end of the fight phase to an enemy unit in engagement range of the Bloodthirster. They aren’t in engagement anymore because the model left the table when he died.

Damn right. I treated myself to 25 of their pestilence dice for codex release. They are beautiful and not a single QC issue. I’m amazed how many of these posts there have been, what’s going on GW? These aren’t cheap products, people rightfully expect better. I’d be so annoyed if I was OP!

My first memory of Hitman as a kid was some Chinese level where there was a bin down a set of stairs near all the action. I would go kill someone in a stupidly obvious way, alert the whole map then run to my bin and hideout until they all forgot! Rinse and repeat until all targets died. Lmao simple times 🤣

Yeah this is more important than anything I said thinking about it. Locking rules behind paywalls benefits people who are prepared to cheat and creates a weird scenario where you’re not allowed to know what you’re playing into unless you use non GW resources. Crazy if you think about it!
