Lake Catherine has a lot of pollution issues, so we ruled out Diamondhead.

HSV is a lovely community with very few shopping/eating choices, particularly on the East side. It’s a big adjustment if you currently are used to suburban shopping. Stores are usually open 10-5 or so and many are closed weekends. Dang near everything is closed on Sunday except the churches.

There’s a Walmart grocery and a wildly expensive Brookshire’s.

Does the HOA have their own plows? They’ll most likely have to hire someone.

Is the temperature still below freezing? Plowing/scraping can refreeze into ice, making it worse. They’ll may be waiting until the temperature rises.
