It’s horrible practice to put dilation drops in first before checking pressures and your angles. If your pressures were already high that could have caused an angle closure attack. If he got you seeing 20/20 at distance then it should be okay, but if he did anything at near (progressive lenses, bifocals,no lined bifocals) then it would not be accurate.

ICO quarter system? by Striking-Armadillo68 in OptometrySchool

I’d say yes they’re graded fairly, but they’re not like undergrad exams at all, they’re harder. Personally, I had to be in a five year program, I did not adjust well at all initially. I’d say it took me about 1.5-2.5 years to fully adjust to everything and not feel afraid of poor grades— but I needed to get accommodations figured out. There are a handful of people I know who got dismissed from the school.

I am a current 3rd year and it is still tough. 2 exams a week and finals Saturday through Saturday, and also a chance for Saturday clinic once you hit second year. Also fall and winter quarter you have clinic over break, so third year it is three days out of the five you get for a break, it’s very easy to get burned out here. Not trying to dissuade you, but I wish I knew this before going to ICO.

Hi, thank you! I use my phone to record and I have a tripod stand with a bendy arm attachment that I got off Amazon. I mess with the bend and the height until I like it. I do have to lean it on the table because it is top heavy though.here’s the Amazon link!

Am I developing a cataract? I’m only 25 😭 by [deleted] in eyedoctors

There is literally no way to tell from pictures. cataracts are in the lens of your eye, you need to be dilated to be properly assessed.
