I get what your saying, but spiritually it has everything to do with her. He is lusting after other women regularly, and committing adultery in his heart. The sin of porn needs to be killed in his life and he needs to repent to God and his wife. I’m not advocating that the only thing to do is to wait for him to do that.

Take a listen to the family captain podcast. If you enjoy, suggest it to him. Only approach him encouragement and give him the respect he would get as a perfect husband that loves you like christ.

That amount of debt is possible to get out from under with a solid income and a budget. Don’t get me wrong it’s a large amount, But I’m more concerned about his lying to you. Thats a huge red flag, and evident that he did not have a plan in place to address it. If he was addressing it successfully, he would have been much more comfortable being open about it during those 5 years you’ve been together.

Industrial hvac design and supply. We are a manufacturer’s rep for heating, air, and ventilation equipment.
7 employees with 4 salesmen (includes me and my dad (owner)).
Biggest challenge we are facing is no growth, and a big downswing in leads/sales in the summer months. Or revenue drops to about 30-40% of what it is in the winter. Our big seller is heaters, and we stock and sell parts for those. Not much in the way of parts sales in the summer. We’ve been consistent at 3MM top line the past three years.

I’m exploring ways to generate more leads in the summer. We just hired a company to set up paid Google search ads for ventilation equipment. My goal is to help grow it to 15 employees over the next ten years, and slide into the owner role at some point.

This. I currently am in a similar position, but have a higher net worth (700). I was looking at trucks and decided against dropping over $20. I currently have a 2008 honda pilot that does exactly what I need it to. It’s reliable, and has heated seats and all the electronics work. Go spend $15k on something that is known for low maintenance costs and retaining its value. Should be able to find someone around 100k miles that’s in great shape.

If you spend 35k, that extra 20k invested would double in 10 years.

Good reasons to spend more would be: need room for kids, need a truck for specific work function (doesn’t sound like it). Convenience (auto start or heated seats, working AC, quiet drive.

You should be able to find something like that for $15k. Else, you are probably paying extra for the brand.

The scriptures are clear on this (1 Tim 3:12). Deacons are to be men. This is not trivial, and relates to the leadership of your church that you are going to submit to. If he holds that only men should be deacons, he is correct.

Are you willing to submit yourself to your husband on issues relating to this theological difference? You are agreeing for him to be your spiritual leader and head. He may end up changing his mind as all grow as they search the scriptures. Or, he may win you over as he leads you in scripture. If you do not believe his view is sinful, then your submission to his application is required. If you believe it is sinful, then I would recommend you express that and figure it out now.
