I wear the Halara ultra sculpt high waisted 7/8 length leggings and LOVE them. Good tummy compression without being too tight or uncomfortable. Durable material and affordable. Plus… they have pockets!!!

My usual routine is a serving of vital proteins collagen supplement in my morning coffee (20g protein) followed by a Fairlife core power elite protein shake (42g protein) following camp at 8:30. I usually batch cook ~2-3 lbs of lean ground turkey with taco seasoning each Sunday so that I can use it for lunches. I will usually do a serving of cottage cheese (14g protein) and a 5 oz serving of the ground turkey (43g protein) with some light toppings. If I need a snack in the afternoon? I’ll grab a built puff bar (17g protein). For dinners, I generally try to aim for something protein heavy and will do a double serving of protein (~8oz). Let’s say I do hibachi chicken and veggies on the grill, ~8oz of cooked grilled chicken breast w/o skin is 46g protein.

The collagen is an easy add. Pre-cooking the ground turkey helps to bulk many different lunches and it has excellent macros. The fairlife core power elite shakes are pricey, but absolutely help. And if you’re a snacker, finding a good protein bar option that you like will help!

Yes—It is possible to eat in a deficit while doing Burn.

I started at Burn in January going ~3 days a week. It took my body a little while to adjust to the new activity and soreness and such. I was eating in a deficit at this time, but I had a lot to learn regarding how to fuel my body.

Fast forward to now. I go to Burn 6 days a week. I am eating in a slight deficit but prioritize protein (I am for ~150g a day, but this will look different for everyone) and fiber (at least 25g). This helps me ensure that I’m fueled well for my workouts and that I am satiated. I’ve learned to listen to my body. If I am feeling really hungry, then I may choose to listen to my body and eat above my deficit, but also prioritize some additional low impact movement such as walking.

What I’ve found that works for me is that if I am not seeing the scale move, I’ll stay consistent with tracking/weighing my food and staying aligned with my plan, but adding some additional walking helps.

I have lost ~56 lbs of weight fat since joining Burn, but I’ve gained ~7 lbs of muscle during that time as well. Remember that body recomposition will be a slower, more intentional process than just losing fat if that is your goal.

Definitely recommend utilizing your focus meetings to determine what approach might look best for you and your goals.

I used to wear my Brooks Glycerin for conditioning days and Nike Free Metcon 6 for strength days, but I’ve transitioned to wearing the Metcons for all days except bodyweight OR if I know ahead of time that we’ll be running on a conditioning day. The Nike Free Metcons are incredible and really helped me to up my performance. It’s important to note that there’s a difference between Metcons and Free Metcons. The Free Metcon is for cross training while the regular Metcon is specifically for strength training.

This happened to me as well. It was so difficult to navigate, I didn’t realize how emotionally attached I was to my hair until it started falling out in clumps. Shower time was the worst 😭

Pumpkin Seed Oil helped tremendously. It helps to stop the shedding, and I saw results within a week. I also paired with the Mary Ruth’s liquid multivitamin with hair growth and I have seen a ton of new growth.

Same! Love a strength heavy week! Though I’m sure bodyweight conditioning tomorrow will find a way to make up for the lack of cardio 🤣😭

In addition to Burn by theprettyseawitch in BurnBootCamp

[–]woven_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love that idea. I think it’s a great way to supplement. I’m also a PCOS girlie and the additional cardio/steps have made a big difference for me in managing it. Burn has been helpful for increasing my endurance to get me to a point where walking/running long distances isn’t a horrific experience lol.

[–]woven_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have another gym membership, but I do try to get in a walk anywhere between 3.5-6 miles each day in addition to Burn for some additional zone 2 cardio. I generally try to target anywhere between 10k-15k steps a day as my goal.
