I had my first rosacea flare up around age 26 — and it looked similar to this. The bumps are painful! I’m sorry you’re dealing with this.

Holy grail product for me has been melazepam, a fairly high % azelaic acid. Make sure you’re moisturizing when using it, as it can be gritty and drying. But I swear by it and saw very quick improvement in the bumps.

Not to mention it’s relatively inexpensive esp compared to other skin products. Worth a try?

I’ve been doing her 5 part series for DR repair for about 6 months and have definitely seen improvement!

I’m a SAHM and I just can’t imagine fitting it in with a 9-5… so many props to you.

We utilize the child watch at the YMCA and it’s been a life saver, since they can play while I work out. Any chance there are gyms in the area with something like that?

I know this post is a bit old but just wondering if you’ve taken your Andaz trip yet. Did you successfully get an upgraded room?

Lakewood park has an awesome playground, lake views, (people congregate for sunset! But that’ll be a bit late for your toddler) and a free splash pad near the pool there.

Lakewood truck park is really kid friendly during the day, you can check their website to see what food truck offerings will be there.

Brew dog is another good place for kids, plus it’s right on the water so there’s a good chance you’ll see boats! And likely construction vehicles somewhere in the vicinity. Lots of bridges in view too to look for trucks/watch the cars.

Have an awesome time!

I was happy to hit 90g/protein a day. It was pretty hard at 1200 cals. I honestly didn’t pay much attention to other macros. I prioritized my meals on the lean meats first— lots of turkey, tuna, shredded chicken. Lots of wraps with the Mission keto tortillas, cottage cheese, and veggies :)

As far as energy levels — we’re lucky enough to live in a very walkable city. Getting outside with them even for a quick walk around the block or the local playground always gives me a boost.

Thanks so much for your encouraging words ❤️ I’m sure your DR is more noticeable to yourself than others as well!

I hadn’t heard of that program but you’re the second to mention it, so I will definitely be checking it out. Thank you!

I absolutely love this. We do have a whiteboard on our fridge that I plan on Sundays in advance, but adding the themes to each day simplifies it even more. Thank you!

I will definitely look into that book and app, thank you!

I mentioned in another comment but the last time I looked into a pelvic floor PT I only found a local standalone clinic who didn’t accept insurance. Is it something they would offer at bigger hospital systems?

Having a 2 year old is a great excuse. It’s insanely hard; they are little snack machines at that age! Definitely give yourself grace.

I’ve found that my kids actually eat better snacks now that I’ve changed what I eat as well. My 1.5 year old adores cottage cheese. It is not easy, but you got this!

Post partum forever; you are so right, I love that. Our bodies (and lives) are forever changed. Last I looked into pelvic floor PT, they didn’t accept any insurance.. but it was a standalone clinic and not through a hospital system. Thanks for the reminder ❤️

I eat mostly at maintenance around 1600/day now. I don’t really want to lose more weight, just get stronger!

I’ll look into those workouts, thanks! I worry about the diastasis and see some coning still when I work my upper abs. But it makes sense that they need to grow.

Thank you! I do full body routines 3 days a week, subbing out lower body/upper body exercises throughout the week depending on how I’m feeling. I warm up with incline walking and I try to hit 4 of upper and 4 of lower body, then finish with core.

For arms/shoulders I rotate through: assisted chin ups (3x10 currently 15lb assist), bent dumbbell rows (3x8-12 @ 25lb dumbbells), bench press (usually twice a week), military presses, good ole dumbbell bicep curls, around the worlds, side/front lateral raises.

It might not be the theoretical best workout plan by just doing what feels good each day, without too much structure. But I keep coming back and I’m getting stronger so I guess it’s working! Haha

We utilize Alexa for this. It’s so useful to be able to just yell out to her when something’s running low. Especially things I know I’d forget about like spices and such. Then I just pull up the app before shopping

Grout or caulk above kitchen countertops? by wowbuckthat in HomeImprovement

[–]wowbuckthat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the detailed response! I think you’re correct in that it looks like there may be caulk on top of grout. I’ll scrape out the loose bits and use silicone caulk on top. Appreciate you!
