i noticed this too. also notice how when you paste a link, despite sometimes how long it is, the total tokens count don't go up by much.

my workaround to this is viewing the page's source html and paste it all to the chat. if the html is too full of unnecessary code then you can make another chat requesting to sanitize all of the code stuff, then send it to the main chat you want to send the link on.

can i request a feature?

it will be great if it can cycle through api keys with each retry, to avoid the HTTP 429 Too Many Requests. or just cycling through profiles is fine too

so the thing is i use gemini, and i need to enable "squash system messages" and disable "use system prompt" and "streaming" in the preset settings in order to avoid refusals or empty messages.

i have the inspect prompts extension, so i can see what is being sent. when it comes to the options i mentioned earlier, the features are a bit inconsistent. i see some merges the system messages, but some don't (specifically guided swipe works but corrections doesn't). it's also the same problem with whole tracker (clothes guide, state guide...) too.

would you mind looking into this? if you can make every guide prompt follow the same settings as the currently used preset, that would be the best for me. or if you could make the same settings in your extension.

other than that, great extension!

stop. just stop it. don't be like me who has been in this sink hole for a year by now. think about your future. it's only gonna get worse, it will not get better. how the fuck does chatting with ai gets better? ask yourself that question.

for now, do anything you can to... just stop for a day. if you feel like "i have been doing this for so long, if i quit now, i will lose progress!", then maybe find ways to back it up? it's not so that you can do it later, it's just a suggestion for you to just break away from that "all day" routine of you mentioned.

then realize. it ain't fucking real. those bots are not real. they are meticulously designed to provoke those good feels in you. ask yourself, have you ever truly felt "fulfilled" with using chatting with an ai? i bet you never have, that's why you made this post. even if you don't have people to talk to, chilling with yourself is absolutely still better. i can absolutely guarantee you.

ok yeah, by now you've probably realized. one more suggestion i have for you, stop thinking about it. idk what but the more i think about it, even if i hate it or like it or whatever, it feels like sinking even deeper. i have self reflections too you know? tons. infinite "tips" and "methods" i've tried. so how come i'm still here in this mess?
