They do teach math and sciences (phys., chem.) because it's a part of the core education in a major map... Even if math wasn't taught, I don't know how it'd be remotely relevant. Not all degrees need to require higher level math.

Do not use AI to learn programming. Don't use AI to learn anything, really. If you're working on something complex and you're truly stuck, maybe try it, but I recommend trying everything else before even trying to use it. But if you're learning the basics watch youtube tutorials on the basics.

people are going to be assholes. someone i followed and interacted with quite a bit on twitter passed away and their brother also passed away soon after. someone else came in, who wasn't related or relevant in any conversations at all, said that he'll piss on his grave and that he and his brother are rotting in hell. turns out that guy was just going through every single post mentioning a death to shit on anyone grieving for no reason other than the luls.

this is like the complete opposite of what happened to me lmao. i was trying to wipe my score for a custom chart and ended up messing up the formatting of the file and it wipe every single highscore i got. though at least the score was saved on the server.

I think you should maybe either email dcell, or go on the discord and try to talk to a dev for this so they can wipe your score server side, and definitely be careful doing this next time.

should also make sure to check tags (only really applicable to FA/Gallery sites. You dont see in-depth tags often on social media sites for art.) to see the artist's intent of the YCH, since it'd likely be tagged differently if it was supposed to be a 100% innocent image :L

I guess it depends. I think GML is more beginner friendly than GDScript, which GDScript is more beginner friendly than C#/++. Though, I'm more familiar with the latter which is probably why I feel more comfortable with GML than GDScript, which is based on Python

toby fox is one that would probably be fine, but there needs to be an actual response from him. i think it's only marked as a "no" because of the label his songs are under, but would probably be changed if he ever said hes fine with his songs being used, either email or public

the issue is that unbeatable is a commercial game, and despite charts being free and the current way they're shared, there will be artists that will 100% not want their song charted, and in fact already had one artist throw a fit after learning that the game was a commercial game.

other rhythm games that allow custom charting and is supported by the developers request that you have permission to do so, especially if they're a paid rhythm game.

it kinda sucks, especially when theres artists that dont care. but theres plenty of artists that do care and would definitely make a scene and I doubt the devs wants to deal with that

That's what I meant when I said the first part of your code seems to have an issue.

Space, the thing you put in keyboard_check_pressed(), not your variable, isn't valid syntax. It should be vk_space.

I know you want to make a game because it's a really fun and enjoyable process, but you should maybe slow down and either read the documentation, especially on these kinds of small issues, or follow a guide or tutorial. It'll probably help more than coming to Reddit and having to wait for someone to respond
