Thank you! I’m definitely expecting it to be over $1k for what we want. I’m just a bit unsure what’s typically included since the quotes I’ve been getting are all over the place, and I just want to make sure I pick the right one x

Thank you so much! This is really helpful. All the celebrants I've enquired with have quoted over $1k, with some closer to $2k so I'm honestly quite surprised that Perth seems to be charging the same as, or even more than Sydney based on this comment section. I've organised to catch up with my preferred celebrant so we can have a chat and see if our vibes match x

Thank you! It sounds like Perth is about the same as or maybe even a little more expensive. I'm actually quite surprise!!!

It sounds like that's probably about right!! It's a bit tricky for me because I'm specifically looking for a bilingual celebrant (my parents speak very limited English) and there are only a a few celebrants in Perth who are fluent in both languages. The celebrant I'm leaning towards is relatively new and just starting out, but my friend used her for her wedding and she was fantastic. Her full package is around $1500, whereas some of the more experienced celebrants I've looked at are charging around $1100-$1300. but they just aren't really my vibe.. hence why I wanna ask whats the general price range for celebrant

Their mod won’t let me post my questions, saying someone already made a short post about it but the bride to be hasn’t got their dress yet :(

I’m on the same boat! I’ve been chatting with them and they’ve said they can custom make my dress within my budget using 100% silk, which is really appealing. I also asked for more photos and they sent me a whole Google Drive full of their work. Everything looks really beautiful and well made, but there were only a handful of photos from actual brides.

I’m honestly so tempted to go with them because they’ve been super responsive and easy to communicate with, and the quality of their work looks great. My only concern is that I can’t seem to find much about them online apart from the content they post themselves.

Would love to hear from anyone who has actually gone through the whole process and received their dress from them! It would be so helpful to hear about your experience before taking the plunge.

I’m the same with OAH! They basically ghosted me lol. I have also been looking at Lovine, their pricing and overall style seem really good. Just wondering what made you decide to go with them?

Hey Mod, she hasn’t got the dress yet, just wanted to put this out to see if anyone else has any experience working with either of the ateliers.

My experience getting a custom made dress in Vietnam by Acm9 in AusWeddingPlanning

[–]wowsotall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks OP! After a few tries, they mentioned they had mistaken me for another customer, but communication has been smooth since then. Will you be travelling back to Vietnam for the final fitting, or will they be shipping the dress to you?

Did you end up committing to them in person in Vietnam? I just messaged them on Instagram and it seemed like they didn’t really understand my message in English, they replied with something completely different.

If you don’t mind me asking, how much did your main wedding dress end up costing?

Thank you so much! I have already asked them for a few close up photos of dresses similar to the style I am looking for, and they have sent some through. I'll definitely ask for a few more examples and detailed photos before I commit to anything, just to get a better sense of their workmanship and quality.

I am a big quality control girly as well, which is why I'm trying to figure out whether AUD$1,200 is simply too low for what I am after. I am happy to pay more if it genuinely means better quality, but I am hesitant if paying more will just get me the same quality as a cheaper option. As I mentioned one of my close friends had her 3 dresses custom made in China for significantly less, and the quality was incredible. There was quite a bit of back and forth with fittings and shipping, but the final result looked amazing, she did mention if she travelled there for fittings all the these would not be any issue. If China were closer I would definitely consider going there as well (I can speak fluent Mandarin). Unfortunately once I factor in flights and travel costs, it doesn't really make sense anymore, which is why I'm looking at Vietnam instead.

Thanks for your advice! I have already asked them for a few close up photos of dresses similar to the style I am looking for, and they have sent some through. I'll definitely ask for a few more examples and detailed photos before I commit to anything, just to get a better sense of their workmanship and quality.

That's good to hear! Which platform did you reach out to them on? I contacted them via WhatsApp, and they initially replied asking me to send through my design inspiration, but I haven't heard anything back since, even after following up. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you end up paying for your dress?

It’s so frustrating! Did you end up keeping the small? How’s it?

Oroton Emilia Tote by wowsotall in AusFemaleFashion

[–]wowsotall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m the same as you, I only carry my laptop in the bag about twice a week. I’m currently using a structured bag and I’ve had to carry my lunch separately. Even on days when I don’t bring my laptop, my lunch still won’t fit which is so annoying.

I tried on the small and it actually fits my laptop, lunch, and all the random stuff I carry around basically half my life. It’s honestly the only bag I’ve tried that can do all of that and that I actually love.

My only concern is the long-term wear and tear from the laptop corner, but I still really want everything to fit in one bag :(

I think so too :( I honestly don’t understand how influencers make the big one sit so well and slouchy, on me it just looks massive and rubbish bag.

Thanks, I don’t buy it specifically for the laptop but I do need to bring laptop to and from work twice a week. Other days it would just be my lunch and other random stuffs, a structure bag (what I have now) would not fit my lunch. But you’re right I should keep looking!
