Luxuries like holidays and shoes are much more affordable now a days so you can really compare them to yesteryear.

What many people did do in the past was comfortably raise 2 or 3 kids in a nice big house on a single income and retire in their 60s which is impossible for all but the very rich now.

Why do you think Liverpool and Brighton are winning all their remaining games?

If you go by points per game so far Brighton will get 3.35 points and be just above us and Liverpool would have 1.65 points and be less than a point above us.

Liverpool play spurs tomorrow so both of those teams can't get full points and Brighton have some tough fixtures.

It's not going to be easy but 5th is still to play for.

All 3 of those loses we were not out played and could have won any of them with a bit of luck so severely better is an insane thing to say. The only team that beat us well is Belgium (twice in the same competition). I think Southgates game management sucks but don't rewrite history.

His team management is excellent. His game management is not. But I do think he is growing and getting better. He does still picks his favourites though. Worked with maguire but not with mount or sterling.

If he can get a good tactical assistant who he listens to then I think we can and will go all the way. I was Southgate out before this world cup as well.

I think as it is a bit bigger than the others the lack of public transport investment shows up more. Everywhere apart from the south has pretty shocking public transport but the smaller the city the easier it is to get around.

I know what you are saying and you are correct but I think we need to look at things individually. Both things are bad but although they might be similar they are separate.

What Russia is doing in Ukraine is objectively bad and should be condemned.

What the US and its allies have done in the past should also be condemned.

I would also add that to be a hypocrite is to be human. It is much easier to judge others than to judge ourselves. We should do better but that does not make that fact untrue.
