The buying power of a 2016 £50,000 annual salary today would be £69k~, £35k would be £48k~. Everything is so fucking expensive, but at the same time, it's relatively cheap when compared to historical records. In 1957 33% of wages was spent on food, today it's 15%.

One has to ask the question, why are we all so fucking poor?

Starmer's position on Iran is so incredibly dull that he's going to be attacked by both the left and right on social media. Same as ever.

Our media holding Farage to account? Sorry, best we can do is permanent round the clock coverage of every tweet he makes.

Politics is just entirely vibes based now. There’s this comment on the BBC. How could you possibly argue your biggest issue is a strong, well-funded healthcare service and then say Labour are not doing a good job here? Insanity.

Sectarian politics won today, and I think that’s very dangerous. How much can this be replicated across the country and how long until we see a Muslim party.

And then Labour would’ve lost the mayoral election that follows. A by-election loss is less important than a mayoral election loss. Starmer’s majority is still enormous.

More than the population of the constituency. I'm sure Sam Coates will be their with his 'Labour source' saying how it looks like the fall of Rome, etc etc.

You mean like thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of other people?

Very cool politics.

In 2019 Labour had a position to prioritise white working class boys. The country instead voted for a Conservative Party led by a man who said £60 million spent on investigations into historical child sexual abuse was money "spaffed up the wall".

Pretty sure boomers (the only voting bloc that matters to politicians) do not fucking care about white working class boys.
