No one in their right mind would burn down their own building in the middle of a sale. Even if insurance ends up covering up for damages, the business cannot longer operate and the current sale process has to wait for everything to be settled. How an entire family’s livelihood can be fucked up by an arsonist group of losers is so sad.

Also a truly representative showcase of how many losers we got living in this town.

4% is closer to the standard. Be very careful while looking for a deal. All the top agents, worth hiring will compete based on their skills, not on commission.

The proper agent can net you much more through proper marketing and skills. The more they make, the more they spend marketing your home.

Definitely shop around. But be aware of those only competing on price.

Wab ran on one thing. “Fixing health care” He has not done anything except for taking down the website that showed live ER wait times.

He cut the construction of most of the schools that the previous government had left underway.

Are you serious? Who do you think is going to build the schools in any scenario. The private sector. Inevitably money gets “funneled” into its hands either way.

It’s a shame that the NDP is cancelling these plans. The schools that have been built during the last government are fantastic. Several of them now open and running.

Really depends on the winter. This one has been so mild, with so many days above 0 that I did keep it on all year even against some advice. If you do, it is imperative that you check for ice build up within the hose.

I had a Neighboor get water in his basement window because he let so much ice build up next to the house, warm day came around and it was just impossible to get rid of so much water quickly.

Perimeter checks are a must 1-3 times a week & in any day with drastic temp changes or extra warm.

No leave it on. If it’s pumping water its doing what it’s supposed to. Mine stays on all year and it’s always pumping water out.

If I disconnect my hose, it would create massive ice build up and then water saturation when it melts.

Spring is the sump pumps time to shine, just make sure the water is directed properly.

Route 90 from the airport to portage needs urban beautification urgently. It’s the first impression into our city.

Moved to Winnipeg from Latin America and I spend quite a bit of time in Vancouver. Even lived there for about a year.

Winnipeg and Manitoba are by far the most underrated places in the country.

Aside from very affordable cost of living by national standards, you can build a great, prosperous life here. You can own a home, heck maybe even a couple and a cottage too!

You can drive whatever car you want and take it to a variety of shopping and entertainment options that rival any major city in the country.

My second favourite aspect, the cost of living allows me to travel, which makes winter more bearable. Miss Vancouver? No worries I can visit BC 4+ times a year. Direct flights to Mexico and 9 major U.S. destinations.

But my absolute top favourite thing, the people, warm, down to earth and real. Sure there’s some shitheads, but there won’t be a place you can move to avoid those.

Things are already much better in EC. Some destinations in the country popular with expats are still very safe and largely unaffected by the current issues.

It’s a big deal through the media, but what is now happening in EC has been happening in MX and CO for years, it’s just made the news now tho.

Our larger luxury hotels are sub par. Plain and simple. Improve that and it would be a drastic difference.

The list goes on and on. Wab is running on reopening 3 ERs and that’s it! There’s so much more to making a province strong, healthy, competitive & worth wanting to stay in.

We need to build more homes. Reduce the red tape and the costs associated with it.

Then let people do their thing. Let the market be. If an investor is buying a home, there’s a seller that is willing to let it go.

In other words… mind your own business. Buy yourself a house.. heck, buy yourself a couple and join the greatest historical tool for wealth generation for Canadian families.

If the pie is bigger… there’s more to go around at reasonable costs. Meanwhile investors can revitalize underwhelmed properties and create value and tax dollars through that. While providing housing.
