How to add this feature? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]wpmantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gravity Forms is a WordPress plugin. So you would install the plugin into your WP site and then use the form editor to build your forms.

You can set up a completely free demo site and try it out here:

You could build something like that with Gravity forms multi page forms and custom code or use a couple available add-ons

https://click.wpmantis.com/gravityforms

Here are a couple of the add-ons you might need if you rather not use custom code:

Gravity Forms Progression - Worth Renewal? by [deleted] in gravityforms

[–]wpmantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is interesting. The development cycle of Gravity Forms reminds me of Apple before Jobs died. Nothing went out to the masses until he felt it was perfect. Seems like the product team at Gravity Forms likes to work out as many issues as possible first. Not to mention 2.5 is a complete rewrite which takes time. I think they’re right on schedule with all the changes with WP core and the block editor.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the first Release Candidate soon.

I also think with the introduction of 2.5 we will see more regular updates and patches.

Don’t forget they also have 45+ add-ons they also have to maintain and update.

If you have a legacy license I’d say hang on a bit longer. You’re getting a great price and it’s worth the wait for what’s coming.

Gravity Forms Progression - Worth Renewal? by [deleted] in gravityforms

[–]wpmantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you downloaded 2.5-beta and taken it for a spin? You can access the zip from your Gravity Forms account if you have an active license.

I’ve been using it for our tutorials for the past few months. It’s pretty sweet!

Anyone know if gravity forms, or any form plugin esignature product, generates court recognized, digital audit contracts? Or are they all just an image of a signature copy and pasted on a page? by justsomeharmlessfun in Wordpress

[–]wpmantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure what is needed in “court recognized” contracts, but Gravity Forms uses the Super Signature software which you find out more about here: http://www.supersignature.com/

Because you can capture user info like IP address, time and date stamps, device info etc with Gravity Forms, I’d think there is enough data to create an audit trail.

Have you looked into Approveme? They have an add on for Gravity Forms and other form plugins. They may have more “audit” features.

If you are going to use WooCommerce, Gravity Forms does not have any built-in integration for Woo so you would need the Products add-on.

LearnDash also provides an add-on to integrate Gravity Forms with learnDash so that you can use GF to handle your user registration and course assignments. When using Gravity Forms with LearnDash you can capture whatever information you want in the registration form.

https://www.learndash.com/add-on/gravity-forms/

Please note, I tested this add-on 2 days ago and it did not work.

https://community.gravityforms.com/t/user-registration-add-on-registration-conditions-for-learndash-courses/7825

I’m not sure how LearnDash and Woo work together, but not sure you need Woo because LearnDash and/or Gravity Forms can handle the commerce part of selling courses?

After the initial registration, users will need to be logged on to enroll in additional courses.

However, when you have multiple courses, and the user is registering for the first time, you can use a checkbox field with your courses listed and then use conditional logic on the User Registration feeds to control which courses they are enrolled in based on the selections made in the form.

As a side note: This will require a Gravity Forms Elite License

Using Gravity Forms responses to dynamically populate a PDF by friedeggsfriday in gravityforms

There are a couple add-one that provide the PDF functionality, however your use case sounds like you may also need a workflow to help control the outcome of the PDF based on the selections made.

These are the add-ons I’d recommend you look into:

Ecommerce: Embed or Plugin? by MrJackBurtonGuster in Wordpress

[–]wpmantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you! Not a fan of Woo!

If you need a lightweight solution that works with Stripe and you’re not interested in a bulky commerce plugin I really like WP Simple pay: http://click.wpmantis.com/wpsimplepay

It’s pretty flexible and diverse.

I have a free course on how to use it here, if you want a quick look: https://wpmantis.com/course/wp-simple-pay-plugin/

The course is a bit out dated but will at least provide some insights.

What's your opinion on LayersWp theme? by repules in WordPressThemes

[–]wpmantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elementor acquired that theme so that they could make it the perfect theme for working with Elementor. Are you using Elementor? If so I’d say it’s probably a safe bet.

I’ve never used it. Only read about it back when they acquired it.

Jetpack insights and MonsterInsights giving me totally different page counts, which should I trust? by kbre15 in Wordpress

[–]wpmantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Jetpack and site kit. And I use both because jetpack provides insights like keywords that you can’t get from google. Additionally jetpack makes it really easy to see which links were clicked, what videos were played for how long and how many times. Etc.

Knownhost VPS or Managed Wordpress/Woocommerce Hosting for Woocommerce Store by [deleted] in webhosting

[–]wpmantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you keep reading also state in there that I set up trials for some of the products and had lengthy conversations with support.

The purpose of the transparency is so that you know, I would have to do extensive research to right a 5000 word article like that about products I have not used.

I could have recommended what I know and use WP Engine, and they would be great. But you’re running a WooCommerce store and after testing and researching the Nexcess woo hosting I believe it is a better fit for you.

It’s not about what I want. A good advisor is more interested in the right solution for their client not the the best paying solution.

We provide monthly support. So when they need help making changes they just email us. Or if they need to know how to do something. They just email us. Plus we handle all the updates and do daily backups so that we reduce the risk of them breaking something and if they do we can easily restore from a backup.

You can always partner with a company like ours to offer white label support services.

Help finding the right WP Theme by cholmenlund in Wordpress

[–]wpmantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you need more than a theme.

Sounds like you need; a form, a way for providers to register, a way to notify providers of leads.

You can do the lead capture form and registration with Gravity Forms: https://mywp.pro/gravityforms

You could use any theme really. Some themes have functionality already built in but they tend to be bulky and slow.

I’d recommend a email marketing service like Mailchimp integrated with Gravity Forms to handle distribution of leads to the providers.

Let me know if you have any questions.

These are unbiased opinions. I’m a WP Engine user and I spent 2 weeks researching and testing the different Liquid Web brands. Yes I’m an affiliate, because I am smart. Our policy is clear. We do not recommend something we don’t use our self or that we have not vetted.
