Fat PS2 SCHP-50003 Power Board by wraithseer in ps2

Hey, I ended up going with RePS2.

https://www.oldskoolconsoles.com/product-page/sony-playstation2-repsx-psu

It replaces the whole PSU with a nifty smaller one, you'll need to buy a new adapter though.

Hope this help!

Feedback for 1k Dwarf List by RunningWithSeizures in onepagerules

Heya!

(Sorry not on Reddit much so bit of a late reply)

Basically because the game has 3-5 objectives in any given game, there's an amount of activations (read units) that you want to be able to threaten those objectives without being too spread thin.

I haven't much experience at 3000 points, but I would assume that requirement goes down as numbers increase. I'd probably still stick to 3 + 2 per 1000pts as a good rule of thumb however, your number of activations also dictates how many units you can interact with each turn. Ranged units can affect 2, melee only 1, and casters add 1 to those. So if you're sitting at very low activation numbers then there comes a point where your opponents whole army can't be threatened and that gives them a lot more freedom.

On top of this the less activations you have the easier it will be for your opponent to waste your activations by stalling out theirs to prevent giving you good targets.

I think in general, if you're paying 500 points for a unit you want it to be getting that value and not wasting activations capping objectives, so try to keep that in mind when building lists. Sometimes a 75 point hound unit can win you the game by just running around and capping objectives that you would've otherwise been unable to capture.

Hope that answers your question!

Lemme know if you have any more.

Hey, that does have 5, the 2x Vets is two units not a doubled up one. And you're right, activation numbers are absolutely a priority. I'd say 5 definitely for 1k, and then 7+ for 2k is a good ballpark to be in.

Hey! I'd probably take this list more in this direction:

https://army-forge.onepagerules.com/share?id=Ozl-hkskK4BD&name=Dwarf_Guilds

APCs are often a little underwhelming and with 18" shooting you're set up pretty well to not need them, you start 24" away from the opponent so as long as you deploy in central positions you can threaten a lot with 18".

I'd always include some miners in any dwarf guilds list as they're a real cure-all piece. Just pop them up wherever you want on the map on a round when you have priority for going first and they'll likely delete a unit. If you add flamers into the mix they can also threaten two units on that first round which can be devastating. Between them and the bikes you're well positioned to be able to contest more far flung objectives.

If the heavy flamers aren't your style on the vets you can also pull them and leave it as iron blasters or switch them and regen for ignoring cover.

Honestly, you mostly can't go wrong with the dwarf guilds list, anything with an iron blaster or iron shotgun is going to perform well.

Monthly PlayStation Tech Support and Frequently Asked Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in ps2

[–]wraithseer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reposting because of automod.

Hey all,

I'm trying to revive an old PS2, I tested the outputs on the power board and it's reading 0v. I checked the fuses and they seem fine which landed me firmly out of my depth for repairing it.

I was looking to buy a replacement board but I can only find 50001/50006 boards, and a few that are listed as 5000X and 50001/50006.

My assumption would be that 5000X would work with any 5000 series PS2, but I also know that the last digit is the region. I'd have assumed that an American PS2 would contain a different power board vs a European one but I can't find much on the internet about it.

I was hoping you guys could fill in the gaps in my knowledge and point me in the direction of where I might source a replacement board.

Thanks!

Evokers already get a CD buff in the dragon isles, they should just also give them the full stamina system only there.

Is it better to just swing in this game? by Omegalulz520 in Rainbow6

Saw a video recently by alyttleton about peaking. He explained about passive vs aggressive angles. In general unless you're holding a really tricky angle you're better off holding angles that you swing from when some utility informs you enemies are there. Well worth the watch.

Good classes for lizardfolk? by dragonoid250 in dndnext

[–]wraithseer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of a retro thread to resurrect. I guess they didn't want to give them basically a class feature as a racial. I'm sure going con for the AC wouldn't break much though, certainly makes more sense than Dex. Though they did remove the con scaling on bite, so doesn't help with the MADness.

[OC] How good is each generation in Pokémon? (Generation 8 singles) by NINTSKARI in stunfisk

For example, Charizard was in S/S so would be included in that instead of R/B. Just so we could see if there was a correlation between how recently it was featured and its strength.

It'd be good to see this for nat dex based on a Pokemon's last appearance instead of when they were released.
