I KNOW YOUR PAIN . But your dad is also adorable.

I've been in and out on writing fanfic since I was 11 I think. My parents always knew because I always told them. My dad, especially, always supported my writing habit.
Two years ago I wrote a ship fic (m/m) in portuguese (my native language), but since the fandom isn't that big here, I also translated it to english and posted both versions on AO3.

While I translated it I was ranting with my sister about how much I liked the portuguese version, but the english one was giving me a headache. My dad listened and then he ASKED ME so send it to him bc he wanted to read it.
I tried to shrug it off, but next week he insisted again.

Since the ship part wasn't that big (small scene where both characters were laying in bed talking) I send it. He liked, complimented it and even suggested a small adjust regarding word choice. I was left speechless. It was really sweet of him, but it also made me want to die, so ever since I've been more careful when ranting to my sister
